@TechInAHoodie It is not a sequel of Lineage 2, it is a sequel of Lineage 1. Actually, Lineage 2 is a prequel of Lineage 1, L2 history is 150 years before L1. Lineage Eternal history is 200 years after Lineage 1, so Eternal is the most advanced Lineage chronologically:

Lineage 2 -> (150 years) -> Lineage 1 -> (200 years) -> Lineage Eternal.

@KryptikJC Sorry but there's no evidence of TERA being based off the Lineage 3 Source Code. If you have a team developing a game and they go develop their own, their skills and abilities are not going to drastically change into a different style and system.

Yes the developers who were working on Lineage 3 left and created BlueHole Studios but the two games have NOTHING to do with each other. And this is indeed Lineage 3, as it is the sequel to Lineage 2, just a different name.

@TechInAHoodie You realise that the project manager who left Ncsoft for blue hole was indeed found guilty of selling L3 code/art/concepts and was sentenced to a year of jail, suspended for two. Not only that, but NCsoft has filed lawsuit to prevent TERA launch in NA just last month. And yes this is the 3rd Lineage in the line up, but it is not L3. L3 was pretty much scrapped as it was suppose to be TERA in essence.

@KryptikJC Yes but that doesn't mean that TERA is based on the L3 code. The problem I have with that is Lineage 3 was originally set to use the Unreal Engine 3, however after Yong-Hyun-Park was fired they switched to an in-house engine anyway, so the whole point is moot. The code and assets that were leaked would have been arbitrary, as they were simply concepts. The leads that went to BlueHole could easily create concepts similar to it, they were the leads, and thats what they did.

@TechInAHoodie Yes it was suppose to run on the U3, but when all that shit went down they went to inhouse engine to produce eternity BECAUSE they had to scrap L3. Why would they release L3 when it would be identical to TERA. Even the concept art for the characters was identical. Dont get me wrong, im playing TERA atm and its a great game, but it is basically what L3 should have been. Not to mention that before Park left, there had been over a years work put into L3.

@KryptikJC A years worth of work isn't much when the reason for Park getting fired was because progress hadn't been made on the game. The project that was Lineage 3 actually became AION, and you can see the similarities between AION and TERA; moreso than that of Lineage 3. In fact we never saw anything from Lineage 3 and there doesn't exist any gameplay or trailers to compare. Why would they take Lineage and make it something its not? Thats why we see Eternity now.

@TechInAHoodie The moment you start comparing AION to bother TERA or L3 is when im kinda done with the discussion. That game was beyond trash, and was probably Ncsofts worst mistake yet. Im not here to judge the reasons why he was fired, i assume they figured he was losing them more money. Lineage 2 was hugely successful, why wouldnt they make a revamped version? L1 was great dont get me wrong, but with diablo coming out i woulda imagined it was risky (still is imo)

Holy cow, I might as well get this instead of Diablo 3 because this game looks pretty. I'm a graphic pervert, so therefore I will only obtain the game with the best graphics.

Though, I believe Diablo 3 will have a much addictive gameplay, it is disappointing to know that their graphics can't match this game.
