@autocrow I mean on the just main Mixolydian and Blues scales. Like you have on other vids. It would be impractical to try to call out fret numbers on everything you show. I'm getting it! Great video. Thanks. : )
your a generous man. CD's We can buy and these great video guitar lessons. What more could beginners and all levels want. Just play with tone controls on the guitar and watching your lessons, people can really have a career in music.. It's just finding the right people. Or just play for fun, either which way thanks for sharing your talent Marty
very good, I realy need to learn how to use scales, All of my scale knowledge gets put to shame on his knowledge on hoew to take one scale and solo it up so cool like that. What a "cool cat" haha
if i got ur question correctly i think you asked the relative dorian scale to use to be int he key of a mixolydian? if thats teh case 'A' mixo would fall into the key of D major and dorian would be the 2nd scale off the major scale sooooo E dorian would be the exact same notes as g mixolydian if im not mistaken. Easier way is dorian is the 5th of mixolydian which is also E
if you change the the root to the E... as in you start the scale with the E note on the 12th fret... but you keep all the notes and the scale shape the same, its an E dorian....

You need to say out loud the fret numbers as you play! I'm having a hard time guessing which frets you are on by watching this video over and over!!!

E dorian is all the same notes as A mixolydian and I think you are approaching it with the right concepts.
