  • Hi I have the adobe premiere elements 8 and I was wondering how do I make a video resolution bigger? Every time I make a video the clips are fuzzy. How do I fix that? Thanks:)

  • hello again 240p

  • Please visit wwwdotthekhalsatubedotcom

  • He looks like Liam Neeson

  • it looks hard and complicated

  • Why does this guy look like Charlie Sheen?!

    WINNING

  • I haven't made any videos for the big screen, so I don't know the answer to that question. I'm curious, too. Maybe look at dvfilm.com for info about that.

  • Hello dv movie maker......pls reply me i need ur help

    the question is?

What is the basic ratio, crop, format and resolution to make feature films to play in big screen with projector?rply me i need ur help.......

  • I have an old copy of premiere 6. i just found it XD the films it saves are "blocky"

  • Thanks

  • with this application, can I render videos to FLV or SWF format?

  • 2:11 look at him molesting the young girl !!

watch his movie before you watch this tutorial .. he made a soft porn with him and young girls !! he is SICK

    2:11

  • @JSprayaEntertainment WHO is sick!? ...the girl I see is the same age as the young man in the movie - yes, it's cheesy but not sick ...get a life

  • so can you tell e on a scale of 1-10 how difficult it is to use premier pro.i'vew been using imovie with good results but am tiring of the limited features.

  • Get premier elements. Premier pro is over $600, while elements is $100 and is far easier to use.

  • @JamesNinterdoNerd I thought you use Final Cut. How did you like adobe ?

  • @StudioGoldsmith It's worth the cash, I have both pro and elements. You can't go wrong with either.

  • Let's begin with something simple. When I try to "capture" the footage from my camera to the program, there's only an opening pic in the capture window, no sound, no video. I deselected the "Smart Tagging" (takes forever) but it tries to do it anyway. By the 10 minute mark of the captured video, the video & audio are wildly out of sync. These are just the tip of the problem iceberg with Premier 7. This is a new computer. New camera. TERRIBLE program!!!

  • whenever I import a video clip to my time line I get this RED line above it, and any little change I do to it I have to go and RENDER that clip to make that RED line GREEN and it takes up a lot of time, am I doing something wrong? please help thank you.

  • @enemyone365 Older versions of Premiere and slower computers can take awhile to render sections of your Timeline. Newer versions and fast computers don't take too long. But you have to render sections under the red line to see it play correctly. You're not doing anything wrong.

  • @enemyone365 _Thanks dvmovie, I guess I need a faster computer. lol

  • awesome

  • Is Adobe Premier preloaded in Macs along with Garage Band?

  • do you know how to put backgrounds for video?thanks

  • I try to open my project and it will not open. I get a screen with no response and no way to attempt to open. After rebooting or logging off it will finally allow me to open. How do I correct this problem.

  • Nice channel fellow.

  • nice tutorial to get an idea of what the program looks like and how it works. I was thinking about trying it :) tks for making this one

  • THANK YOU! This was super helpful! Thanks!

  • Thank you, this video is very helpful!

  • This video helped tremendously. Thank you

  • so i know how to play the clip backwards in the editing process I have Adobe Premiere elements 7 And I am wondering how I can make the video play backwards while watching on youtube or something. For example a effect or something that allows me to play clip backwards? Please help. thanks

  • thank you so much for this run trough, It was extremely helpfull.

    very kind of you.

    thak you so much.

  • niceee

  • Great Tut! Thanks so much!!!

  • Great tut! thanks :)

  • I just tried to open a project, and it said "Project maybe damaged, cannot open" I called Adobe, they forward me to someone in India, and they were no help. Is there anything I can do to say my work. Thanks!

  • I try to do lots of "Save As" for backups... because it's happened to me a few times. Hopefully you have some backups in the Premiere Project Auto Save folder. Have you looked for those?

  • Yes, I did, and it worked out great, thanks!

  • @Bobster986

you will no longer find any support from Adobe. They moved all of their tech support to India to save a buck.

    Former PS tech for them.

What version of premier did you make the file on? and what is the file extension read?

Also what happened in between "opening" these projects? Is the file on the same com or a different one?

Most things don't just happen, and if they did you may have bigger problems then just a file not opening.

  • Fix the problem, but Thanks!

  • @Bobster986 Welcome to adobe xD lol

  • In the the project box I accidentally hit the little x in the editing tab, how do I get it back? and also how do I make the editing tools work because when i use luma key it doesnt let me control were to put it.

  • You should be able to open all the windows ( or "panels") from the Windows options in the top menus. Not sure about the luma key?? Check Help Menus or Adobe's Knowledge Base for Premiere.

  • @dvmovie thanks I found out about the luma key after an hour searching it all

  • Do you know how to save the movies so theyll look good on youtube and on DVDs and do u know how to do a film burn effect in after effects 6.5

  • Don't know about the film-burn in After Effects. Export in mp2 for DVD's. YouTube takes up to 2 gigs now, so you can upload with avi files. Or mp4 or wmv with a high quality setting.

  • @dvmovie Avi Files more than 2 gigs will done fine if you use H.264 Encoder before uploading it to youtube. Great help if making Full HD videos.

  • Hey!...

How can I import a video with a green screen?

  • is their a video editor that lets you zoom in and out in the footage

  • Premiere has the "Motion" effect which lets you zoom in or out.

  • Oh, thanks, ill look into that. I looked all over for one.Sorry i didnt see your reply until i had already replied.

  • No, but there is a screen recorder that does. bsr screen recorder.

  • Does anybody know about offline media? Everywhere I put a text title in my video the text is offline? how? and how do i get it back online?

  • Media Offline just means it's not being recognized... or hasn't been imported... into the project. Are you using a Title for the text? If you use a Title, then do a "Save" afterward, it should be a part of the Project at that point.

  • I'm using at the top of the screen u click on the Title tab and then click new title I have been using it throughout my project and I did save, just one day I went back on and all my titles were offline and I noticed the special effects like vido fades are not working either, it's everything I created within the program. The info for the title is still there when I double click the title in the timeline sequence the title box comes up and its written in there.

  • But I have noticed when I bring I drag a title to a different spot from video 2 to video 3 it works again but only for the time being once I save and reopen, it's back to saying media offline. It's so confusing

  • i was editing years in Sony Vegas... but i got myself a copy of Adobe Premiere and what...? i have no sound! Was searching about forums... tried switching beetween desktop-external devices... instaling newest ASIO... nothing worked... im kida... dont know what to do... =(

  • Try Adobe Premiere's support -- Knowledge Base. Might be a better resource than forums. When you "open" the audio track on the Timeline, can you see a waveform? Is the speaker icon "on" at the head of the track? Did you have both video AND audio selected when you captured? Can you hear audio in headphones?

  • saying forums i ment their page actually... their FAQ, and things that helped to users... instaling ASIO4ALL... changing regs. uninstalling codecs... but you know what? i realized that MOST of my vids dont have SOUND nor "amplitude" of it. But vids made BY me in SV have sound... strange coz my vids ALL have Mpeg Layer 3 sound! anyway... nothing from adobe website helps me... i guess its fault of my integrated sound card (up to date) ...

  • I guess you could use a file-converter program (like "Super") to get the audio into a .wav file. In some cases, when the sound isn't working, I've exported just the audio from the clip on the Timeline (as a .wav file), then placed the new audio clip over the old one, and linked it to the video. Might be worth trying?

  • so u're suggesting that i should convert every single thing im putting into my project? ouch! O.o

converting over 40 titles as i used last time would hurt as hell xD mp3 files dont work as well Oo

  • I am so overwhelmed!! Glad there are tutorials like this out there!

  • Please help! i have a question. I've imported video's into adobe premier pro, it's super digital looking with the little squares, it's fine at the size it is. but if you increase the size to 400% it's extremely blurry and 400% is not even the size of a tv screen. so when I'm done editing and I try to burn this onto a dvd will it look like this? or does it just look like this in the program? and what can i do about it? I took the video from a camera that takes mini-dvds then converted it to WMV.

  • Converting to WMV reduces the file size quite a bit... and that reduces the quality. Try to convert it to .avi or .mov. "Super File Converter" is a free conversion program you can download online... if you don't have any other way to convert it.

  • Do the load presets effect the quality at all? I didn't know what they were so I just chose one randomly, someone else told me that the dv sequence screen size at 100% is how it will look on TV

  • I am going crazy. How do I add a digital still photo to my premier project? I want to mix it with videos and photos. Thank you so much in advance for your help. When I add a photo, it only shows a small sectioin of the photo in the monitor window. I see the full photo in the edit window.

  • Look at this page. I think it might help -- dvmoviemaking(dot)com/tips2.html --

  • can adobe premiere open and edit mkv files?

    pls reply

  • Don't think so. Adobe's site has a page for supported file formats in Premiere.

  • too bad!

i have sony vegas pro 9 and it does not recognise mkv files...

i hate this, i always have to convert those files

  • Does it open mp4? or mp1?

  • I'm not sure exactly which file types the latest version of Premiere supports. But it's easy to find out. Go to Adobe's site, Premiere Support, then search for "file formats supported".

  • Gracias... me fuiste de gran ayuda...

    5/5

  • Thanks Man, I feel like I learned something right now watching this, I was going to give up on Adobe Premier 6.5 as it seems so complex, but you have showed me how to simplify it quite a bit, at least the working area.

    Thanks for that.

    J

  • I am determined to learn premier, and realized I just have to stop using power director. I have premier so its just a matter of using it. This tutorial has helped loads.

  • how does ome go about making a time laps in premier

  • I guess you just speed up the clip. (check the help menus for Clip, Speed, Duration). Right-click on the clip in the Timeline and change the Duration.

  • that is easier to make in adobe photoshop or if your using an erlier version then CS, you do it in imageready

  • I'm trying to transition from Power Director to Adobe Premier. Premier is like a million times more complicated. But it seems incredible- if I can ever figure out why the timeline disappears and how to get it back that would be nice. thanks for your excellent tutorial. Much appreciated!

  • Check out YapperDesign . com to watch a full premiere pro basic training for free. Learn professional video editing in less then 50mins.

    YapperDesign . com

  • Wow, I was kidding xD

  • How much does it cost?

  • It's expensive... like $800. But if you have affiliation with a school, you can get it for around $300 from the "academic discount software" sites.

  • I just got it, when I play my videos it goes really fast?

  • OVER 5,000,000 DOLLARS BITCH

  • I cant import a file it says 'unsupported compression in file'

it's an AVI file. It works in ulead9, wmm and it can play, it just doesnt work in adobe?

    Help?

  • The ".avi" is what they call a "container", and there are different codecs inside that container. You could use a "file converter" program like "Super" (a free download) to make it an ".avi-dv" file, and that should work for you.

  • Hay thnx a bunch.

But i allready converted them all to WMV files.... which took FOREVER but now thay work :)

One more thing, i cant figure out how to pan in or out, on this,

maybe a little help or something?

    :) Thnxx

  • You use the "Motion" effect... and set keyframes to animate the effect. Watch my video on "Stills and Motion" here on YouTube... and read the Help Menus in Premiere for more info.

  • Thanx everyone for your help :)

  • You're lucky it doesn't work in Premiere. It's probably divx and it will screw up your edits anyway. Divx is great as an output format, meaning that you can render your production with it, but don't edit in it. Convert using to avi using a lossless codec (huffyuv or lagarith). Make sure each frame is a keyframe. DO NOT use mpeg. It's small and your edits will be off. I would suggest you make friends with a program called virtualdub. You'll get exactly what you want from it when you know it.

  • By the way Ulead is not premiere. Premiere is pro. It wants you to make good edits. Take an mpeg fle for example. There's 1 key frame (a perfect frame with all information) per 14 frames. The rest are just recording what has changes since the last key frame. So imagine the first frame is a key and you want to make an edit at the 6th frame. Believe me, it throws your edits out the window. Convert to lossless. And also understand that not all formats can be successfully converted.

  • which is better sony vegas or this

  • Premiere Pro, Sony Vegas, Final Cut Pro, Avid DV... People have their personal preferences, but they're all top of the line.

  • what do u know about magic bullet looks working for a 64 bit version of sony vegas 9.0 i cant get it to work at all...i have tu use 8.0 still just so i can use magic bullet

  • Sorry, but I'm only familiar with Premiere Pro. Don't have Vegas or Magic Bullet, so I can't help here.

  • k thanx tho....

  • Premiere is wayyyy better for precise editing. The trim window does not exist in Vegas. Vegas uses a "trimmer" which is not even close to the precision. Titling is also very odd in Vegas. Vegas is great for all in one editing and effects.

  • What is trimming?

  • Very good. I'll be checking out your other videos. I guess things are new and modern in film editing.

    Thanks

  • duz this coast like 15000$

  • look down a few comments... where I talk about the price.

  • fine fine quality

  • How much was this program?

  • Last time I looked, around $700 - $800. But if you have any school affiliation, you can get it for $250 - $300 from the "academic discount software" sites.

  • ok i have the cs3 version and when i am finished with the editing and ready to publish the movie the file size of a 5min vid is over 1 gig.. how do you correct this lol

  • That's the size of an avi file. Export it with media encoder for web formats: mp4, wmv, mov, etc.

  • how do you seperate audio from video?? thanks

  • It's slightly different with various versions of Premiere Pro. But look in the Help Menus for "Link Unlink Audio Video" and that'll tell you.

  • how do I import a .dv file into premiere pro? It won't work!

  • how do you finalize a video to upload it onto youtube ,, i have a completed video but i dont no how to use it ??

  • ask ramillen. he uses premiere pro and post's it on youtube

  • What version of PP do you have? If you have CS4, you can just go under the preset for H.264 and select Youtube. If it is early than that you need to just select a setting that is compatible with Youtube (mp4 is best, but other formats work).

  • Guys, how do I stick a head (Jpeg/PSD/WHATEVER?) on a body and make it move with the body??

    Any Ideas???

    Thx

  • Best editing software Adobe Premier Pro is great I love it.

  • how can I make something transparent in adobe permeier pro? help!! its urgent!!!

  • The "Opacity" setting in the "Motion" effect is one way. Or use one of the Keying Effects. Watch my "Chroma Key" tutorial for a look at keying.

  • I tried that, but I want to be like a character in world of warcraft in STEALTH!

  • Does anyone know how to snap a picture from a video? like pause the video at a certain point and save that picture?

  • Try putting your timeline indicator over the part that you want to make a picture of. Then go to File - Export - Frame. Give it a name and a file to go. Then import the image that you just exported and line it up with your footage.

  • thanks man i appreciate it... and by the way everyone. what is the deal with premiere pro cs4 not having chroma key effect for the mac? is there anyway i could get a plug in?

  • Anyone know how to do a continuous flip on an Image in premiere? so that the image continues to spin horizontally while flipping?

  • The Motion effect, and Camera View effect can spin and flip. You have to "animate" the effects to do this (see "Animating Effects" in Help Menus for details).

  • Cool...thanks a bunch!

  • Adobe premiere elements 7 is like a few hundred dollars now.

  • Or free for a one month trial that can be cracked pretty easily so I'm told!

  • Cool..Tanks!!!!

  • can you use this to like draw stuff on video clips? i dont know of any software that can do that... not even $600 sony vegas

  • You can use the "Title Designer" to draw lines and objects, but I don't know if that's exactly what you're looking for. Check out my tutorial on Creating Titles & Credits.

  • webcammax

    manycam

thats if you had a webcam to record from

or even import the clip you want and

use the draw over video effect

  • this is good tutorial, in 5 minutes I got the idea how it works and now I know - I NEED THIS SOFTWARE! :)

  • Thanks for the tutorial

  • This dude rules. This tutorial in such short time shows all the basics of premier to get started. Thanks dude!

  • should've searched for this a long time ago!!!

  • l love the way you sound

    in summary

"lets cut through the bullshit and get straight to business!"

    many thanks

  • Thanks for sharing! I like it!

  • Is there something like this that isnt so...

    psychotically expensive?

  • compared to this, WMM is shit.

  • many thanks mate!

  • actually i might have found my answer through RustyBinProductions. but give some helpful hints just in case

  • Glad my comment was helpful to someone.

I could do a VirtualDub tutorial if people think it's a good idea?

  • yeah that is a good idea too alot of people. i havent taken a look at virtualDub but i can figure it out. but if you make a video then you will make my life easier and give me a lot of help and hints

  • No worries... I'm in the process of putting a music video project together at the moment, but once I'm done I'll give a tutorial on how to use VirtualDub for processing of video both BEFORE and AFTER Adobe Premiere (and Sony Vegas 9)

  • how do you shrink the file so it will fit on youtube. my video is only about 5 minutes long and yet it is 1.1 GB. youtube only lets you have 1 GB videos.

  • VEGAS is more simple and does all the same things

  • Couldn't agree more =]

  • many thanks. you helped me a lot

  • Very nice. I'd like to say that even this short 5 and a half minute mini-tutorial was enough to get me started with Premiere. The biggest problem I had was with the way Premiere interlaced my video when I tried to export the final cut. Thankfully 6 hours of playing around I discovered that exporting it uncompressed (along with other tweaks) then converting the video in VirtualDub gave me perfect quality and a small file size at 1440p. Thanks for this tutorial.

  • i have showbiz dvd 2 and adobe after affects. is showbiz dvd good or is this better?

  • ISnt this just like windows movie maker except it costs money? or can you explain a diference cuz i like to learn editing stuff, and do u know how to add like effects like fake gunshots were u see something fly by, and also do you know how to make like 2 clips like where u see lets say me and then me as a ghost there like 2 of me 1 from a seperate clip?

  • There are a lot more "advanced features" with Premiere. Visit Adobe's Premiere pages for tours and tutorials of those features. And you can accomplish those effects you mentioned with the Keying Effects (blue screen, superimposing, mattes, etc.). See my "Chroma Key" clip to get an idea.

  • lol n00b movie maker sucks this software is alot better and more advanced

  • nice and ver informative. Then after this how do you make it hd?utube has hd now xdiv and i like it.The picture is tighter..i should make a funny one about how frustrating it gets avi mvi .mov all that...dan in ny

  • I share your frustration with all the file types. Anyway... you'd have HD with your original file if you're working with HD footage and editing-software. But YouTube will convert your original to their format (Flash, I believe) when you upload the original. That "Watch In High Quality" option is usually available, but it can depend on your system. Check out YouTube's Help pages for more info on this topic... and file types, and best settings for uploading, etc.

  • thanks let arts live..dan

  • @LetArtsLive thanks slow reply eh??

  • thanks for sharing the info

    Amazzzzzzzzzzzzzzing

thank you Thank you thank you :)

  • is it better than cyberlink power director

  • I haven't tried Cyberlink, just read about it. But it sounds like a good program. Might be all you need, but Premiere Pro has a lot more advanced features (which accounts for the difference in price).

  • cyberlink doesnt allow you to lock your movei files in the timeline .. adobe is better i think

  • my clips are offline and when i drag it to the timeline it shows an offline clip instead of the imported footage. how do you not make it offline?

  • The clip may have been deleted from your hard drive, or Premiere can't find it. You might have to capture it again. If you can locate it, you can make it online again. Read about "Offline Files" in the Help pages.

  • whats better?

    sony vegas 8 or

    adobe priemere pro?

i cant decide which to get

  • I think they're both great programs. I've always used Premiere, so that's what I'll recommend.

  • sony vegas 8 for effects

  • sony vegas

  • Hey there super cool video. But I had a simple questions as well... I was wanting to delete a portion(frame) on my time line, in the middle of my movie,(not at the start or end, and I was wondering how to "cut" and delete the frame. Using the razor is a bit difficult to understand, as I don't want to keep the frame. Any suggestions would be great. thanks. Alex

  • Zoom WAY IN on your Timeline, then get the Razor tool, cut it on either side, and delete that frame. No problem.

  • hi. I am editing on PP and am having trouble uploading the edited footage to dvcam sony video from where i got the footage from. The camera starts but no footage received. The screen displays NS (NO SIGNAL)Can anyone help? cheers Cal

  • Could be in your "Playback Settings" You can find those in your "Project Settings" -- "General". Or maybe "Device Control". Find that one under the "Edit" menu -- "Preferences". Perhaps a setting in your camcorder's menu? Hard to say. Good luck with it.

  • hey all my videos are made with premiere!

  • do you know what video formats adobe premier pro allows?
