That's the problem with these Taekwondo places handing out black belts to anyone who can do gymnastics. It all goes to their heads and they think they are hot stuff. It's kind of sad if you think about it. If you want real martial arts, try out Chuan Fa or Kung Fu.

Mate, learn about your own history. Indeed, japan did rule korea, but it wasn't from Karate that Koreans created TKD. It came from it's ancestor art, Taekkyon. And that was the official fighting style of the Korean soldiers back when having weapons had been outlawed by the japanese.

The only that that could be attached is just the simply mouvements, and, if you extrapolate, the Kyokushin style of Karate. (Much like TKD in many ways.)

Have pride in your own culture, don't think it's just a copy!
