  • i was just wondering if u could have sex when Pregnant

  • I feel like after awhile I would trust it just like tampons lol

  • I don't have one but from reading the comments and being a result of a missed birth control and a teen pregnancy (my mother was 17 and I'm 16) it seems like a pretty decent idea. I understand the whole "it was painful" or "it didn't work out" but in a way, the pill is a bigger commitment. I guess im not the most educated but there's my perspective :)

  • I have the iud and the procedure of placing it in is sorta painful but worth it and guys still wrap it up don't trust a girl unless you committed -3

  • and I didn't want to have sex for a month . I think it works via abstinence.

  • My experience with the IUD, it cost me about $100 dolars, which I was more than happy to pay for. When it came to insetingit the doctor said it was the most hardest IUD he has ever tried doing and it was painful. I went home and was in ALOT of pain, so had a shower, then check to see if everything was alright. and my body was rejecting it and had pushed it half way out. So I had to go back to the Drs, and get it removed. $100 for contraception for a day,....

  • i would still wear a condom.... stds and such

  • right so....i was considering IUD but then you know it might not work or it might go out of place and then not work...and i know that taking pill is guh!!!!ok its a lot of presure on me only being responsible and on time everyday but oh well the cost i've heard about it and then that it might not work it freaked me out.btw i am not fond of O.C i might stop them after a while and switch to condoms

  • @Maritina89 Have you considered options like the Patch or the Ring?

  • @kicesie i am really aware of my body and so The Ring has possible side effect nausea including weight gain...So i guess it makes you fat so you wont get laid anymore.-joke-

And back to the subject about the Patch...Estrogen makes me depressed(the patch contain 60% more estrogen).first pills I was given were combined and during the estrogen-only week I used to cry myself to sleep every night. I stopped mid-pack and change to yasmin

  • @Maritina89 Wow, estrogen typically raises the mood and progestin lowers it. That's strange that you react oppositely. Most people I know who fight depression, the patch is the only thing they can use. But you're right, you have to know your body and listen to it!

SO.... what about the shot or the implant? It's pretty much the most effective and low maintenance....

    ....just pointing out your options.

  • @Maritina89

BTW, I gained weight the month I went off of hormonal birth control. Quite a bit and found out that it's a lot more common than I thought...! So if weight is a concern you might want to take that into account before stopping your bc totally.

(oh and all birth control has the possibility of weight gain, and nausea. it's a matter of finding which ones don't do that for you)

  • @kicesie that makes no sense...How is getting your body off of hormones makes you gain weight?i mean if its not temporary then that's somewhat good and it makes sense...But if it is then why no one warns you about it?why when they introduce you to the Pill don't tell you all that? Also no one told me about the "spotting" and it also affected my sex drive.I am not saying its non-existant but its not the same.I guess that since you got off the pill you had some really bad side affects right?

  • @Maritina89 I never did the pill. I could never be responsible enough to take it the same time of day every single day.

  • Great Video really enjoyed it

  • Hmm.

  • i have question... okay so. i have been on birth control for almost 4 months now so my body has gotten used to how it has effected my body. but the question is....is it possible to get pregnant by the pre-ejactulation? because me and my bf didnt use a condom... :| yaaa, but it wasnt for very long. its just i want to be sure because iv looked it up online and there are different answers so i dont know which one to believe. could you help? (: thanks!

  • @iloveyou5x There is a huge debate at the time about this, so all I can say for sure is that as long as you're taking your birth control perfectly, you should be just fine as far as pregnancy prevention goes. STDs of course are still an issue.

  • @kicesie thanks alot. iv just been freaking out lately cuz he wasnt sure if he pre-ejactulated or not. there was one time he did "finish" but then he cleaned it off and went to the bathroom and around an hour later we did it again with no condom. am i still safe? :|

  • @iloveyou5x Only a doctor can say for sure. DONT risk it. Don't have sex without any protection. EVER!!!

  • (Part 2 of 2) My wife had a Mirena IUD inserted, and she said it was plastic. It's a five-year IUD and this is by far the best birth control method for both of us. I'm surprised more women don't know about it or use it. But that's me, and I'm obviously not a woman and not qualified to offer an opinion on how inserting a t-shaped item inside of me would make me feel! lol Anyway, thanks again!

  • (Part 1 of 2) Kicesie, thanks for directing me to the IUD video, it was very informative! I'm a little confused, though. My wife has been on IUD for four months now, and before she got on it she said it would make her periods shorter and lighter (like progesterone IUD), and it wouldn't have the hormonal side effects of the pill (like the copper). Since you posted this, have they come out with a third form of IUD?

  • @registerman07 The copper one has no hormones therefore would not have hormonal effects on her. The Mirena is the plastic hormonal one.

  • I believe an IUD would be helpful for many however I like the idea of me taking the birth control pill to help me feel like its working. An IUD would paranoid me because I wouldn't be sure to trust it or not.

  • i think its a great idea because the cost like u said its efficient and more convinient for my partner but im concerned if she will experience any pain from it even if it is placed correctly and will it put her at risk for anything like could it make her infertile or harm her internal organs, or worse?

  • good

  • i kno this is alittle off topic, but what is possibillity to get pregnat while on your period? Is it even possible? Or is it a high risk of gettin pregnat?

  • @jayash101 Check out this site: babyhopes(DOT)com/articles/pregnantduringperiod.html

  • I no want snip snip. xD lol And girls have more things then guys towards birth control. o.O The only real option for us is condom, snip snip, or just don't have sex............ :*(

  • - Why do YOU think not so many people are using it when it's SO effective!?

It might seem stupid, but doesn't it sound kind of painfull ? i mean, as you've said, to goes up higher than a tampon would.. tbqh, i don't think i'd use one aha :'] but that's just me.. even if it does sound slightly stupid =/ ..

    xx

  • @NEONoxox Well I hear from a LOT of women whose doctors refuse to give them one unless they have already had a child.... so that's a big part. Also it has a somewhat dangerous history (though they are totally improved/different now). And finally, it's a pretty big initial expense.

  • I would totally use the non-copper one( sry I spaced) and I'm not even having sex yet but even for the whole period thing and just in case if I do have sex then I'll be prepared

  • My only suggestion when using the hormonal IUD is to try the depo-shot first to make sure it doesn't cause depression... that way you have a shorter time to deal with severe depression if you are one of those who ends up with it. If the shot goes well, then the hormonal IUD would probably be great for you.

Always talk to your doctor to fully understand all of the possible side effects as some can be severe, but unlikely. :-)

  • i wouldn't trust planned parenthood, it's my understanding that they are a deeply religiously motivated group.

  • No, they aren't. They offer so many vital services that simply wouldn't be available if it weren't for them. STD screening is a huge one!

  • @kicesie maybe i'm thinking of something else then

  • Yup I've got an IUD.. i went with hormone free- straight copper... a heavier period wouldnt bother me. and personally? the insertion was cake compared to Childbirth- that's right, ive got a Kid. a Babygirl shes 6 months old. i ,3 my IUD. if im worried about its placement i can check the strings and im set. I'm finding that this method is a MOTHER'S best friend... girls without kids seem to be afraid of the process and the "pain" when in actuality its minimal i love not having to hassle!

  • Keep the love in sex. The purpose of sex is to become one, at the point of becoming one you reproduce. Making one.

    1+1=1

    You+Your lover = Baby

  • Yeah but you don't want to bring a baby into the world far before you're ready to. It's not fair to the child WHATSOEVER! No matter how 'in love' you are.

  • Of course, you're right.

But, that's the reason the bible says save sex 'till marriage.

I personally have nothing against contraception.. I just enjoy a good debate, :)

  • Yeah, this isn't a religious channel or discussion. If someone has religious beliefs I think they need to have the integrity to live up to those beliefs. And for those who don't have those beliefs... the ones WITH beliefs need to have the respect and decency not to invade other people's lives with their own set of codes.

And I know MANY married couples who are SOOOOO not ready to have children!

  • personally i am a big fan of the iud i currently have mirena and it didnt hurt that bad to have it put in i love the fact that it lasts for 5 years i havent had any problems with it so far

  • Personally I would never get an IUD, it sounds too painful and too invasive. I did my research on it as well since it sounded a lot easier than taking the pill every day but I'd definitely prefer the small inconvenience of taking a pill at the same time every morning than having something shoved up into my uterus. Sorry to be graphic XD lol

  • Also, the insertion is painful as well as the removal.

  • I'm not trying to be mean, but it's intrauterine device. I didn't know about the depression thing, that explains a lot for me. The first time I had an IUD, it was pushed out of my uterus and the strings grew into my vagina!!!! That freaked me out! I decided to get another one. Now, I'm worried that I might be pregnant now. It has lightened my period. This sounds a little odd, but sometimes my husband will complain that the wires poke him while having sex. I use Mirena.

  • Talk to your doctor immediately if you have any concerns!

  • Just a note progestrone is the hormone released when a women gets pregnant, so the BC that use it basically trick your body into thinking its already pregnant.

  • When i was asked that question I wasnt able to feel the joy of saying no cant be, because she was! When asked and unable to answer I vomited!

  • I use this thing called the "implanon" it's a little bar that goes in your arm and is effective for up to three years. I would never ever recommend it though!!! It makes you have your period for about 8 months STRAIGHT!

and as far as the IUD goes, I have heard that they are pretty affective but hurt really really bad when you first get them put in.

  • Downside to the implant is that is that if it doesn't work for you... bad side effects or allergic reaction, you have to have minor surgery to remove it, which is painful and leaves a small scar.... and then you're still out that initial large investment!!

Not saying it's a bad idea.... it just has it's downsides. If you can't handle the effects of the shot, you cannot handle the implant!!!

  • The IUD hurts a lot less than having another baby.

  • your so hott its a shame your married:) no im just kidding im sure u found a great guy.

  • (like the DepoProvera shot, which has been known to severely affect the cycles of women, to the point where some women dont menstruate at all, and some menstruate for several months at a time). Its a deeply personal choice, but I would definitely recommend it for anyone who has had a baby and has a lifestyle that is to hectic to be able to keep track of a self-administered birth control method.

  • However, often times the removal of the IUD can cause a miscarriage because of the cervix opening up. Personally, it was a good decision for me. I dont have to remember to take it every day like the pill (which vastly loses its effectiveness if not taken at the same time every day), and I dont have to be injected with anything

  • There is, as with all birth control methods, a slight chance of a pregnancy occurring. In that case, there are one of two options: either leave it in or take it out. Some babies have been carried to term with no effects when the IUD stayed in place during pregnancy, but some babies have been born with birth defects as a result of the altered hormone levels. If a woman gets pregnant and the IUD is removed, sometimes the pregnancy will continue and the baby will be born healthy.

  • The hormones thin the lining of the cervix so much that a fertilized egg is not able to implant, and is passed in the menstrual cycle. IUDs may also signal to the body that there is already something inside the uterus, so the environment is not hospitable. These are just a couple of ways that the UID is effective. They arent sure of the exact reason for its effectiveness, in my opinion it varies from female to female.

  • Downsides: the IUD can puncture the walls of the uterus (rarely). In the eyes of some people, IUDs are immoral (if one believes that life begins at initial conception) because they cause spontaneous abortion (a.k.a. miscarriage), though you never know it happens. The hormones thin the lining of the cervix so much that a fertilized egg is not able to implant, and is passed in the menstrual cycle.

  • I got my IUD after I had my baby and I love and trust it. You need to have had a baby to get an IUD so that your cervix will be opened enough to allow the IUD to be inserted. And every month after menstruation you need to reach up into the vagina to check that you can feel the strings. Most medical insurance and all Medicaid programs will cover much of the costliness (Medicaid will cover the entire cost) of IUDs because it is FAR cheaper than paying for another baby.

  • I was an IUD baby that was 30 years ago. But I had a friend who worked in high risk OB. They delivered a baby with the IUD in its hand. This was probably about 5 years ago.

Due to the potential heath risks I would have concerns for using it over more then just a year or two.

  • i'm not a fan of IUDs mainly because of their history and how they came to be, i think they can be helpful to SOME women who have actually problems with their period (for instance my aunt was bleeding for like 2 months straight) but aside from that i don't like them.

  • you look like mandy moore

  • my uncle was an IUD baby and has a scar from it on his head :/ (it's barely noticeable now) actually I think 2 of my grandma's kids (out of 7) were IUD babies. but that was also back in the late 50's and 60's. Sooo I think they have definitely improved on them since then.

  • Can you be pregnant if you had the birth control shot. I have all the symptoms of pregnancy. I took the test and it said pregnant. what does it do to the baby can the baby form different or be normal pregnancy

  • Of course there is a margin for error on ANY birth control method... when sex in involved, a baby can result! Perhaps the shot didn't hit the right kind if tissue (nursing error) or any number of things.

If it says you're pregnant you need to make an appointment and get in to see your gynecologist ASAP. They can help talk you through all the details, considerations and options.

  • I got my tubes tied but later found out I have PCOS and was put on hormones:(

  • Great vid..You sorta look like Joss Stone

  • im a guy and i wanna know if it will have any negative effects on my partner in the future? and will it hurt her when they remove it, when we decide to have kids? i wanna know as much as i can, thanks

  • These are definitely questions to discuss with her doctor. But from my reading (and see the video response from NationalCampaign if you want to hear a professional talk about it), there are negative effects with everything... from tylenol to chemotherapy... and all over the spectrum. You have to weigh the befit to risk ratio of everything! For instance, bloating, clotting, mood swings and death are just a few side effects of pregnancy. Everyone seems to forget that.

  • As far as the safety of removal, as long as professional does it it shouldn't cause anything more than some cramping and maybe spotting (a tiny bit of bleeding). Remember that after stopping any birth control it can take anywhere from days to one year before one's body is up and ready for pregnancy again.

  • thank you for the info. :D i appreciate it!:D

  • i think this isnt an effective device as i had one in and got pregnant with twins , the dr tryed to take it out and i lost my twin daughters at 5mnths pregnant, does ne 1 no if the dr should have done that?

  • Pregnancy with a IUD in nearly always means the pregnancy will be lost/terminated. There is a failure rate with all forms of birth control. It doesn't mean they are ineffective. Also I don't know the specifics of your case but one can never expect something to work right away. Everyone should use a secondary form of BC for at least a month... I suggest using a secondary one until a pregnancy wouldn't be devastating to your life.

  • ... me and my partner were. we're married now. but i had talked to my past partners about getting it and recieved negitive responce. there are serious complications if you contract an std with it in so you do need to talk openly with every partner you have. but I'm glad I stumbled upon this because I didn't know about the depression end of this method of birth control. I've been horrably blue in the past weeks, my husband in in iraq now, but now I can see that...

  • I have one. I'm very forgetful, and forget to set up an appointment to check on mine... but I've have it for 1 year now, and no babies so I'm happy with that. at firstI was scared a bit because there can be bleeding when you first get it, but I forgot that part. I had spotting for about a month and a half before it stopped, but now I hardly have a period at all. Insurance does pay for this so the cost isn't a problem for most people. but one thing that I did have to concider was how exclusive...

  • the one that it can makes 90% ligther it is great but cause of my past with the sad thing i can not use it. what thing is like it that you think i can use to make my thingy ligther cause i know that is am not going to have a baby it is just to get it ligther

sorry i can not spell to save my life

  • Hey! I would love the use one of those, but not for birth control, for PMDD, but I'm underaged (15). Would a doctor put one in me, because they seem good for the periods (90% lighter! YAY!). And do any gynecologists work on people my age. I asked in "sex-ed" class, but we're not allowed the talk about birth control at school (we live in the Bible Belt). And are there side effects?

    Thanks! Jüliette

  • Yes doctors will treat you at 15, especially for pmdd and painful periods or anything like that. I can't say that they would treat you with an IUD, but they would find something that's right for you!

  • I got the mirena IUD last October, and it is great. The insertion hurt a little, i just used it as an excuse to take the day off work, and they actually give you a numbing medication applied to the cervix(as well as pres. dose of advil) . Now, i know they say that you have to have had a baby, but i had not had any children.. It was quick and easy.. and my INSURANCE paid for it. I have had only a light period and my husband loves the sensation better than using a condom. I love it too!

  • lol like a good friend of mine said, safe sex is butt sex.

  • Hi Kisecie, can I also suggest you do a video on the Ortho Evra patch. It's one not a lot of women are aware of but it is a brilliant form of contraception, only needing to be changed once a week, no mood swings usually and not affecting by vomiting etc. I have found it to be an amazing alternative to the pill, which I really didn't like at all. Thanks : )

  • It's the method I use! So I'll definitely make a video on it! :-)

  • I was pretty excited to get one of these, and spent a year saving up for it, but then they said it was going to be too uncomfortable, and the opening was probably too small. If you're not comfortable with stuff being stuffed way up in your vagina, this isn't for you. Now I've got a chunk of change just sitting around, not sure what I'm going to do with it. Back to the drawing board.

  • My brother's wife had one put in. It got lost and embedded itself in some tissue and she had to get surgery.

  • can you prevent pregnancy by uranating?????????

  • no.

  • how do you tell if your pregnant with out a test or time

  • Well there are symptoms that come along with pregnancy, but since time and tests are so easy and/or available way to find out, then it's not really that important. If you or anyone thinks they might be pregnant, get a pregnancy test and take it as soon as you're able to (read box for instructions on how soon you can take it).

  • Just wanted to add, the dollar store tests are just as effective as the expensive ones. So there is really no reason not to POAS (Pee On A Stick) if you want/need to know.

  • I was wondering if you could talk about Implanon in one of your vids as I've heard it can cause nasty side-effects, but it seems like a really attractive method of contraception

  • hi kicesie, do all countries allow IUDs? like in asia? i live in singapore!! here, sex and stuff like that is not talked about much and even basic stuff like the pill or condoms are'nt talked about, esp in schools. which is a huge problem . but anyways, could you suggest how i can talk about these issues with doctors and other people who really see it as a 'shameful' thing? im 18 and my school hasnt once fully discussed sex safety and even sex. its always like a joke or uncomfy thing. thnks=D

  • Good question. I'm not sure. I'll try and look into that.

  • Does a orgasm help get you pregnanet?

Coz a orgasm (for a girl) pushz out the guys cum so what do you think?

  • There has been great debate on this question because evolutionists have had a hard time explaining the biological need for women to orgasm for sexual reproduction. Last time I updated my knowledge on it, they had conflicting info on whether it helps you get pregnant.

Most have settled on the belief that women can orgasm so they will be motivated to have sex, thus in and of itself, upping the chance of pregnancy.

Great question. If anyone has more info, please share!

  • that is a good point, allthough ive been told that your more likely to get pregnant if the girl cums allthough iam unsure as to why

  • I've recently seen on a discovery health program, that when a woman orgasms, her cervix dips into a collection of seminal fluid (If her partner ejaculated inside inside her vagina beforehand). So, this suggests that female orgasm could expedite the process of getting pregnant. And just as kicesie said, evolutionarily, an orgasm's purpose could also be to make women enjoy sex. Furthermore, a partner who gives his woman pleasure is caring, which is a great trait for a possible father. ^__^ HTH!

  • Progesterone IUD-THINK PREGNANCY! CAN MESS WITH GLUCOSE LEVELS! swollen belly & cramping, weight gain, stiff, Sore &/or swollen joints (fingers, knees & ankles), mood swings, short tempered, anxiety, memory loss, NO sex drive, no sleeping, snapping at people, Lower back &/or abdominal pain, bladder weakness, nightmares, Dizziness, Migraines, Loss of energy or nesting. Surgery to remove lost Mirena, perforated uterus, acne, spotting for months! HAVING IT REMOVED ASAP! GOING BACK TO PILLS!

  • I wouldn't be able to fit the side effects of pregnancy into 500 characters. Think of that. As said, if people have a problem with progesterone, they should avoid that type of IUD.

Every medication in the world has the potential to cause death that I've come across. Everything has to be weighed, considered and kept in context.

  • I'm getting an IUD in two weeks, it's just as efective asgetting your tubes tied, i dont have to take something every day(i'm very forgetfull, i tried the pill for a few months, i had an alarm and everything but i just couldnt take it on time) a copper iud can last up to ten years, and a hormonal like mirena can last up to 5. they can be removed when you want, with the copper iud because its not hormonal you wont get any side effects like weight gain, acne, neausea ect.

  • I wish i could kiss you

  • My Mum and my one sister both had an IUD and with my Mum being a nurse 47 yrs recommened it to my sister and my Mum had hers since August 1972 till she passed away in 2007 due to a stroke brought on by quitting smoking cold turkey after 50 yrs of smoking. The IUD is not dangerous unless yess inserted wrong which is about a 3% chance that happens depends if you have a cervix that will not open properly or tilted due to bone growth

  • For the kosmopolitans - in german an IUD is called "Spirale"

  • Thanks for letting me know!! :-) Much appreciated!

  • can condoms break on the iud?

  • No, the penis does not reach past the cervix. And I'm pretty sure the string that comes down past the cervix can't bother the condom at all, but I'll ask an expert on it and try to get back to you on that one!

  • that would be great

  • On the penis doesn't pass the cervix yes they can . A penis can actually enter the cervix depending on length of the male and the bone structure of the woman. I am 5'8 not mentioning length my ex fiance is 4'11 every time we had sex I would enter her cervix. Ask about that one cause my ex wife complained too

  • I asked both a nurse practitioner and doctor about this comment and both separately said that's not possible. I'll ask another doctor for triple confirmation.

  • nice pic's on the beginning of your vid;)

    Greetz from the Netherlands

  • I love my mirena. Insertion feels like really strong menstrual cramps. IUDs are statisticly more effective than a tubal ligation. Its actually one of the most used birth control methods world wide. Millions of women use them all over the world. When this iud has to be removed another will be going in. If you want more information iud divas is an excellent resource. I trust my iud completely!!!

  • My problem with UID's are that the girl might want a baby and get it removed without telling me.

  • First, if you don't trust your girl that much, WHY are you having sex with her? Second, during foreplay, insert a couple fingers into her to help get her lubricated. While they're in there, feel around for her cervix. The plastic thread is easily felt as a difference from the rest of the soft, moist surrounding flesh.

  • Some might be a casual or even one night stand sort of thing... Of course if that's the case, you MUST be careful to also use a condom for safety.

  • I have an IUD. I got it 6 weeks after I gave birth, cramped the first day and I took advil. After that, just spotting every other day for a month which I dont know if it was from the pregnancy or not- but it feels fine. It works great, my husband says I know "spermjitzu" lol

  • very sexy

  • ...period of time, can increase the risk of a miscarrage. But anyway, those are just my feelings on the subject, which again I feel would be heavily based on if my partner was having any discomfort or painful reactions from it.

  • ..subject, my apologies. As for a well established relationship, my concern is more for my partner, since reaction to it can vary in women, I would not want her to feel pain or discomfort as some women may get by using a IUD. Health wise, I am still kinda iffy on it, which, really the most harmful part of this device can come from the Doctor and improper insertion. Also in rare cases pregnancy can still occur, believe it's under 1%, however, if the IUD is forgotten to be taken out do to a long..

  • Your vids actually got me to sign up for this place hehe :). As for your question on how men would feel about their partner using a IUD...in my opinion the trust aspect would depend on the type of relationship, obviously. Personally I am not for one night stands, but if that is the case for some men, I would be wary of trusting anything that is said about prevention. It also plays on one of your other videos in which men have to be responsible and also prepared, which I don't mean to go off...

  • I don't really have any thoughts on IUDs. I think they would be worthy to recommend to my wife for a try if we weren't trying to have a kid. I think the placing is a negative spot because than you have a bunch of doctor bills. No personal knowledge. I think not too many people use them cause word never got around i also think they will have there time when the word of the spreads cause even I never heard of them until now. No because like i said above I'm trying for a kid.

  • Drunkin look they have been around for a long time but thats not the reason for my reply . If you are "TRYING" to have a child stop never try just enjoy each other romanticly cause if you try it won't happen cause of stress from both of you. Im 37 been a dad for 16 yrs in 92 my ex and I stopped trying all tension gone boom June 24th 93 our son was born

  • Yeah, I imagine just freely having sex without anything to stop a pregnancy from happening and knowing you could conceive whenever and that'd be cool, but it'll happen when it's supposed to would (and hopefully will be) an amazing experience. Insanely romantic (when the time in your life is optimal for parenthood)!

  • Thank you so much for this video! I have been wanting to get an IUD but my stepmom told me that I knew nothing about it and that it probably wouldn't be safe and that I should just stick to my depo shot. I hate the depo shot! it made me gain 10 pounds and i get super moody all the time.

But after watching this video, I might go do a little research on it and talk to my doctor!

But I just have one question, can it affect you in anyway from staying in your body for sooo long??

  • I have had many many people come up and ask me if I was pregnant before and every single time it was a no. And Yes it did feel good!!! lol

  • I'm 30 yrs old and Mirena was my last option other than getting my "tubes tied". Yeah it hurt like a sumbitch getting it put in since I haven't had any children. Afterwards, one day of cramping and 2 months of spotting it's all good now. My gut reaction: it scared me at first having a "foreign object" in my body, but getting pregnant would be much worse.

  • It sounds scary to me, sounds like it would hurt, and afraid it would cause damage. My gut reaction is dangerous. I am a guy and I would be worried. I am worried about if it fails, or the doctor does it wrong. I'd rather just use a condom.

  • condoms are not the wise choice they break too often or manufacturing defects in the rubber. If your not wishing a child yet best not to use condoms Trojan and shiek are known to fail 85% of the time

  • A good portion of condom failure is due to user's of it not doing so correctly.... so when using condoms, everyone, learn all there is to know about how to have the best chance of them working.

  • This is a wonderful Device for woman. and Men who fear getting woman prego.... It can be taken out at any time by going to the doctors... It lasts and you do not have to worry about popping a pill every day... which for me... just taking my meds in a pain in a *'s so yes... Wonderful Idea....

  • I just got my Mirena IUD in February, and I have been having a period for what feels like a month; but on the flip side I can enjoy the intimacy without the thought lingering in the back of my mind, what if? I have two beautiful children, and I think I am all done for now! I think this video will be very helpful to anyone considering an IUD. For me it was quick and painless! My DR said it is most recommended for women who have already had a baby, because your cervix is already stretched out.

  • i really like the implanon. i havent tried an iud

  • Greetings all and Lady K, I'm by now means trying to offend anyone, but has any of the other guys felt it while having intercourse?

  • No, your penis is sensitive, but not that sensitive. Okay, let me rephrase that-- MY penis is sensitive, but not that sensitive. I can feel the thread in my partner with my fingers when I'm masturbating her, but I can't when we're having intercourse.

  • I have the paraguard, its the copper one that lasts for 12 years. It works I havnt gotten pregnant, but it is the most miserable thing I have ever decided to do. It hurt like hell putting it in, and it still hurts like hell ! It makes things worse, I go thru a box of 40 of the biggest tampons possible, A MONTH ! The cramps are horrible, it dosnt feel like cramps it almost feels like a miscarrige ! Im about to have mine removed. Its the cheapest contraceptive, but it, to me, has to be the worst.

  • If you have one, what is your opinion of the Guttmacher Institute?

  • You ar soooooooo sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet

  • By the way...I noticed on an earlier video where you mentioned when you started posting your videos, your goal was 300 to 500 responses! Congratulations on the millions of viewers and responses on such an informative subject. Even after 31 years together, my husband (same guy) and I look for new things to spice up life. Fun is always the key word, since the love is already automatically there. :-) Keep up the great work.

  • Thanks so much for your input and kind words.

  • I had horrible periods from day one, and when my fiance and I decided to try this method in 1978 (yeah, that long ago) they had the CU7 brand. I had it removed after 1 month because my cramps were even worse. The newer ones are much better. The following year after we married, we had our first child and later, two more. I believe the newer technology is much safer and more comfortable, but we DID trust it and he never felt it. GREAT topic!

  • my mom has one...she said she had lotsa cramps but i didnt ask about the sex... :P nice video btw :) also if you read this dont post it please :) thank you!

  • I'm pretty freaked out about getting an IUD. Having something up there for a long period of time is just kind of odd to me. I don't want to have kids for at least two more years, so maybe I'll do some more research and think about it more. Great video!

  • I had an IUD put in Dec. but then I started to get excessive discharge and now i am getting a fishy smell Gross! But I believe that its BV BActeria Vaginosis. there are only a few reasons why it was caused and none apply to me except the iud. So..I am going to have it removed. Actually I think I might be allergic to copper and I didnt know it.

  • I have a IUD and it is really good. It is really fast and easy you just have to get it chacked one time and that is a month after it is put in. I asked my boyfriend if he felt it when we had sex and he didnt feel it at all. I think it is the best thing to do if you dont want to get pregrnant.

  • I'm pretty sure you have to have been pregnant for it to stay nplace/get inserted or something like that so that would be one drawback for me. Then It would kinda freak me out not being able to see it or be conciously doing something to prevent pregnancys. I like the fact that it can be put in and left for years.

  • you can know that its there there is a string attached to it all you do is feel for it

  • woot had a IUD put in today its the mirena one so far just alot of cramping but all in all I believe its well worth it

  • My wife has an IUD. She found out she has tipped or tilted uterus when they put it in. Being Tipped or tilted makes it more painful to put it in. She gets bad cramps sometimes now related to her type of uterus. I like knowing thats she cant forget to take a pill, wont get fat from the shot, and we don't have to worry about the condom breaking. Bad side from it on my side is that the wire/string at the end hurts when you run into it with the tip of your dick. 1st time was shocking.

  • she can have them cut shorter or replaced so that the strings curl around the uterus. That way it doesnt. I was afraid of that with my hubby also.

  • I would not like to use the IDUs because I like to take something everyday to remind me that I am protecting myself and my man to not have a baby.

  • can girl be pregnant after oral?

  • no.

  • "Could you be pregnant?"..."Are you pregnant"...yikes!!! I'd never say that to a woman, because if my hunch is incorrect I have now put the woman in a position of having to say something like..."NO, it's not a baby...I'm just fat". I've see this happen and it's horribly uncomfortable. That said, this is a good vid. My fiance is considering the IUD and this was helpful.

  • ...because life sucks. I had the Norplant romoved and then around '98 I spent about 3 years with the Depo shots. Loved them - not sick and little to no periods. Life sucked again and in '08 I went back to get Norplant, told no longer offered, OK went with Depo BUT of course some brainiac changed the formula. My joints hurt for about 4 months nothing the gyn could do for me accept to see if the pain goes away when the drug is out of my system. [looks like you are not the only rambler]......

  • Gut reaction - Where was this knowledge when I was 13? I am one of the rare woman that without any BC I have on the nose periods. The pill kept making me sick (4 differnent kinds my gyn gave me) , when I went in to try a fifth I was pregnant. When I went back to BC I went with Norplant (the sticks) this was in '92, loved it!! Little to no estrogen was the reason I was given that it didnt make me sick, and after about 6 mths my periods stopped for 5 years. Before I lost my insurance .....

  • As a woman who has never had children or pregnancies,I tried to get the IUD 3 times. Each time my doctor tried my cervix would'nt be manually "streched" for the device.I would compare it to midevil torture. After the 3rd time i decided to get the implant which lasts 3 yrs and is practicly pain free(theres a numbing shot,it stings for a minute)I've since had almost no problems.I can feel my arm and know that I have reliable birth control.IUDs arent made for women who havent had kids or pregnancies.

  • I want to get an IUD because I have tried other birth control methods and they sucked. I went on the pill to help my period but then I sometimes forgot to take it on time. It didn't help my period too much either. (cramps and heavy bleeding) The patch fell off me because I take super hot showers, and I don't want to take the shot. I think IUD's aren't used as often as other birth control methods because they used to be unsafe but women don't realize they have improved over the years.

  • i love your videos!

  • Kicesie pls marry me

  • lol.. she`s married

  • actualy kicesie ur back ground about IUCD is quite well, but it haves a drawback, cos IUCD is'nt advisable for nullipara, cos of it's higher incidence of PID(pelvic inflamatory disease),which could lead to major problem of infirtility, yup it's effective but better to be used in multiparus women, thanks for ur time kicesie

  • This video covers what an IUD is. Watch it! If you have any questions beyond that, talk to your doctor!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • You aren't qualified to talk about medical issues.

  • I'm qualified to pass on medical information gathered around the internet and encourage people to talk to their DOCTORS about any further information. I'm not telling anyone to get it. I'm letting people know they have options.

  • you men?? SEXIST I TELL YA!!! jks nice vid

  • well thanks but i'll have to be the mother and the father to my baby. all male figures are dead or just not someone i want my baby to look up to. but i dont mind bc i actually love my baby (even though its not born yet) more than i do myself. im going to continue to attend college even thought its really hard with me being pregnant and all but i want my baby to have atleast half of what i had as a child. so just pray for us :)

  • thanks Kicesis. i never heard of IUD? are they in Canada? thanks for tht information

  • Yep... been told they are free there.

  • Hey Kicesie! Love you videos..My Ex got a IUD after our second child and some of my thoughts on it are the it seemed to work very well, you don't have to think about it, it made her periods pretty much go away(witch sucks cause it kinda leaves you guessing) You have to have alot of trust in the other person the same as you would with any birth control, you don't know that she took the pill, got the shot, got her tubes tied or got and IUD. Oh and she can have have the IUD removed at anytime

  • It just goes to voicemail... so my assistant puts aside the legit ones for me to listen to and then I don't have to deal with the creepsters. :-)

  • ah. i see. hehe started to get kind of. em whats the word. w0rried? my english isnt all that great, beeng from norway and shit, but keep up the good work Babe,

  • Did you hear about the baby conceived when his mom was using an IUD? He just made it in under the wire. (Sorry - only IUD joke I know)
