Well, I won't comment on Philcoxs' playing, but I did have some dealings with him a few years back. He was arrogant and rude. I told him I didn't appreciate his attitude, and he responded by telling me that my two year daughter was ugly and walking off.

BRENT MASON is the BOMB!! He's one of my teachers!! In my opinion he's in a class by himself !! Sol is trying hard, & doing a good job!! I don't know what's going on around 4:47 or so, but it seems like Sol loses the key or they are getting ready to trade off licks, either way I love how Brent comes in with such command and power to either re-declare the key or to trade off with Sol either way its so cool how Brent comes in there.

He might look like hes playing in the right stop on the fretboard with the right scale shape but it also could be because hes down tuned and didn't realize it.

ANYONE who can stand beside Brent Mason has to have someting going in his favor. @bingefeller The last time I was at 3rd and Lindsley back in the fall of 09 Brent Mason introduced Sol as the "best guitarist in the world under 30" !! That's who Sol Philcox is and I don't think he is even 21 yet. lol

@bingefeller Sol is from England. He was a member of a web site that Brent was on. Sol would run videos of his playing starting at 13. At that age he could have wiped the floor with most players. He is very versatile and was asked by Brent to come over the US when he graduated. Right now he is working as a road musician for a couple of national artists. He has his own record deal and has put out at least one Lesson DVD.

Now, how about you? Can you match that?
