  • its good to see that people appreciate what these guys do, sux if your power was out for awhile but keep in mind these guys could die working on power, so they take as much time as needed to stay safe god bless the lineman

  • Great job - keep up the great work - you guys are the best. Steve you are the man!!

  • wOOt! Go Uncle Steve!!!

  • I live in Fitzwilliam, and a 3 trees hit my house, and my car. Our road is completely blocked with trees and wires everywhere. Some say that power won't be back until jan. in mass and southern NH. The condemned our house because its not liveable. Our school isn't even open, until Jan.

  • I heard that the out of state crews all head home for the holidays on Friday, so if your power is not restored by that time then you're SOL until after the new year.

  • I'm from New Brunswick, and my husband is working in Maine and New Hampshire. He has told me that there may be a chance that he won't be home for Christmas. The out of state crews will be staying until all power is restored.

  • Bless you and your husband! I will cross my fingers that it is possible that all may be home with their loved ones for the holidays.

  • Why aren't they still bringing more crews in from out of state? If there's so much damage and they're now saying it will be DAYS more, even for some towns inside the Salem/Nashua/Manchester triangle, it seems to me that it would have been prudent to bring as many crews in from as far away as they need. Why did they stop with the number of crews that they have?

This question need to be answered by someone hi up at PSNH because this type of customer service sucks.

  • My father has worked for PSNH for 40 years and has been involved in storm recovery all that time and has never seen anything so bad. He retired in August but at 60 years old is out working 15 hour days to help with this terrible situation. I live in Peterborough and our entire town is still down, it may be several more days or longer before we are running again. As frustrating as it is, I know first hand how hard these PSNH folks are working and I think we all owe them thanks.

  • I have spoken to alot of people all over NH that dont have Power, Heat, etc. Trees on houses, Garages, etc. This problem is bigger than PSNH could handle! I went 4 days without power and it was finally restored last night. I didnt see one utility truck until the last day when mine was restored but remember when they are working on your street, people across town dont have them in thier neighborhood. They are doing the best they can and Trust me I was cursing all weekend too!!

  • this storm was well forecasted. t 1st the PSNH website said 1/2 million without power and 191 crews out with dozens coming from as far away as MD...then it was changed to many more crews to come instead of dozens. I phoned PSNH and was told...well don't you own a generator..PSNH sucks, they charge premium rates foe shitty service..thay have us by the short hairs and they know it.

  • You are an idiot.

  • I live across the street from the PSNH in Milford and I do have to say they are going 24/7 over there. I've seen trucks from all over. The other night I saw a couple of the tree trimmer trucks and PSNH trucks stop in for what looked like a quick 5 min break and then they were off like bandits. I just wanted to say keep up the good work guys and to everyone else they really are working hard just have some patience.

  • We live in Nashua and also have no power since 9:10PM on Dec.11. We stayed the night in the house but left on Friday AM to locate a hotel and have been in Peabody,MA since.

These crews are doing the best they can in the cold and sometimes dangerous conditions. We are talking hundreds of lines, transformers, poles down everywhere. Thank you for the hard work and effort.

  • thank you PSNH !

  • I am in Greenfield. My family has been without power since 10:21pm Thursday night. I've been driving all over southern NH and the damage is crazy! Lines are down every 100yards in some places. NH is a web of roads that has lines down all over. Some roads are impassible. It sucks but we have to deal with it. These guys are out in the dark and cold doing a hard shitty job and I believe doing the best they can. Let's be glad it's going to be warmer for a few days. Good luck to all with no power.

  • You want patience and understanding? We've had no power since 12/11, and we've seen not a single crew in the area because you're focusing all of your efforts in the Southern half of the state. Patience and understanding is something you get when we see a response... We've seen nobody. Lows are in the single digits... What are we supposed to do? We're not even an isolated pocket of outages in a rural area. We're in a city where over 200+ homes are out of power, just waiting and freezing.

  • Thank you psnh. I know that you all are doing the best you can and we appreciate it a lot!

  • i dont have power since thursday dec 11th, today is dec 14th and no sign of power being restored anytime soon, today i saw a truck by my street and after they left there was still no power....whats that about? how many more days? now i have to throw away all my food in the fridge and my next bill might even be higher due to your excessive repair costs....great lose lose situation

  • At least you've seen a truck. We've had nobody come by, except for the police who picked up the downed line and threw it by the side of the road. The National Guard came door-to-door and told us all to leave because we weren't getting power back "for the forseeable future." WTF? They make it sound like it's the rural folks who aren't getting power back and have to wait, when it's everybody north of Concord. We've got over 200 houses without power, and not one truck has come through.

  • I hate to be negative, but this is one of the things you need to consider when you buy a house in a remote location.

That being said, I live in Nashua and have not had power since Thursday night either.

  • I don't live in a rural location. Within a 5 minute drive, we have a hospital, schools, even a McDonalds and a Wal*Mart, your choice of 4 Dunkin Donuts, and a major interstate. Our outage isn't small and isolated, either. I know PSNH is making it sound like those of us without power still are rural and isolated.

Our issue is that we're north of Concord, and PSNH, a Manchester-based company, has little-to-no incentive to do any work up north.

  • You really think they are not working in your area because they are a Manchester company and you are north of Concord?

Why would they have no incentive to work up north? You do understand that if your power is off, they do not make money right? Hold tight, hunker down, they will be there. There are people in your same situation IN Manchester, Nashua and other high density areas.

  • No, I KNOW they're not working in our areas because they make press releases like this:

"Todays clear skies and warm temperatures are expected to provide favorable working conditions for the more than 500 line and tree-trimming crews *who will be located primarily in the southern region of the state,* in the band that stretches from the Monadnock area to the Seacoast."

  • Because we've seen not one single truck in our area. Because our city is saying because PSNH isn't coming anytime soon, we need to go to shelters. Because the National Guard comes to my door to ask if I'm OK, and when I ask if they've seen anybody from PSNH, they say "not in days." Because when I call PSNH, I get a rude customer service rep who answers "we'll get there when we get there, our focus right now is in the Southern region of the state."

Another storm is coming... Where's PSNH?

  • The real fact of the matter is that in the southern portion of NH there are complete towns that are without power. In the Temple, Sharon, New Ipswich, Greenville, and Wilton areas. They are telling our friends that it could possibly be 3 weeks before power is completely restored.
