The writing is spectacular and the violin playing is top class. It used to be the trend for all virtuosos (Liszt, Paganini, Joachim, Vieuxtemps, Ernst etc.) to write and play their own music -- that trend has been lost. It is very nice to hear a virtuoso like Bruce Dukov do these arrangements.
also heard passages from that piece as well as Paganini's "Nel cor piu non mi sento" the 16th Caprice (in G Major instead of G minor) and Wieiniwaski "Scherzo Tarantelle". Brilliant arrangement & playing.
