The ARK of the NEW COVENANT is up in heaven with her son Jesus Christ. The Ark of the New Covenant is the SIGN up in heaven who is clothed with the SUN & the moon under her feet and on her head a crown of twelve stars.
Mary carried the Word of God, the High Priest & the bread which is now the Eucharist. That is everything that the ark contained.
We do not worship Mary & we do not worship the statues we have in our churches.
As I understand it, that command was about making images specifically for the purpose of worshiping those images as alternate Gods..which almost everyone else did and were continually tempted to do.

you have to read the bible of old testatement part and the same types of worshiping and ceremony was taking place in Ethiopia ( east africa) . why ?
