  • Valarie Simpson is there too!

  • This is amazing! Where is this from?

  • Nice.

  • hahahahahaha@ Miss Franklin didn't even made it to the stage, it appeared that she sang rite where she sat..haha!! wot a gangster woman !!

  • @cleopatra1962 thats kinda harsh..it was impromptu and unrehearsed. And guess what if she was terrible? Miss Valerie and Miss Cissy, two phenomenal vocal coaches would not be havin' it! LOL

  • why is Bobby up there ???

  • Aretha Cissy Gladys Whitney ... aint better than that.

  • Is that Bebe Winans and Valerie Simpson in the back?

  • WHITNEY IS MY FAV :D BUT STOP HATING ON NATALIE! I'M GLAD SHE USED HER VOICE AND NOT SANG ALL SOFT LIKE JANET!

  • Gladys and Cissy should have duo 'd ,This off the stage ..But.oh well,. CISSY ,lets one Rip at 3:34, she has Super Power and a Great LADY ...

  • All great Divas in thier own rights,. Natalie go on and hollar over everyone else. Do the damn thing. This is a fabulous performance.

  • aretha sings this song with more class than the other !!

  • I just wish whitney would of sang a little more because she sounded awesome, best voice in the world

  • Cissy looked Natalie shut up!!

  • What was Natalie trying to do?

  • SO DAMN FUCKING EPIQ! They all have such great vocals! They had so much fun up there. This made my day!

  • THE BEST OF THE BEST! HOWEVER, NONE CAN COMPARE TO THE QUEEN!

  • @deeway1963 yeah miss whitney

  • OH WOW...what an all-star performance

  • don't get it twisted folks, whitney was just happy doing the background singing. let me remind y'all that was in 1994, her voice was bigger than ever at that time. she was just being kind cause she looks up to all the ladies on stage. Aretha killed that shit once and for all though...

  • @MrSoulshock4444

did you see Clive, guys got some rhythm!

  • @shootforthemoon89 LMFAO clive was in heaven here. i'd like to see him booging on stage a little bit lol

  • holy crap, this is too much for me. all the baddest bitches in the game on ONE STAGE!

LMFAO @ Aretha killing those big ass notes from the audience. that byotch had everybody banging

  • I'm sorry but I was ready to go to church when Aretha came in at the end .. WOW!!!!!

  • Rucken123 and Gooffgofff89 you two sound like fools as it relates to Natalie Cole. She is a 10 time Grammy Award winner and travels all over the world singing for packed arenas. How many platinum c.d. 's have the two of you made? And how many people pay their hard earned money two see? My mom always said that you will never know a fool, till he/she opens their mouth. Now take that next time you call yourself critiquing someone.

  • U better sang Galdys!!

  • I am far from an Aretha fan but she brought it back together and took it home .. Gladys was great in the beginning as well. Cissy a mess, Whitney ok (but clearly could'nt have carried that song as far as Gladys. I really like Natalie but she sounded a dam hot mess. I was almost embarrassed for her. Where were her ears?

  • natalie cole just went up there and took over, she really stole the show with that big rNb entrance (off key or not) she burried the other ladies easily defending her second to the throme status.

  • @redbuckatl If thats what you want to believe, so be it.

  • Natalie Cole is crap, not really respected

  • Natalie sounds horrible! Aretha said, "let me save my song!" Hahahahahaha

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA! I Love it!! Well...Aretha snapped it off! HAHAHAHA! The voice of a legend!

  • As always when Natalie does her R&B thang she can send chills to the bones. She was the only sista that hit those "Aretha" notes............

  • I have seen Aretha Franklin sing some Whitney Houston songs.

  • It's good to see other singers who have earned their "respect" in the business come out and show respect for another singer. Gladys, Cissy, Whitney, Be Be, Valerie, and Natalie showed the love for Aretha.........I have yet to see Aretha get on stage and show love or respect for anyone. That crown may be a lil' too tight.

  • @a1d2h I said "or some party" for Aretha. But anyway, Gladys' voice is heavier, fuller and richer than most, including Aretha's. A Millie Jackson, Phylis Hyman or similar singers with huskier voices could do Midnight Train justice; but it's not suited to Aretha's mezzo-soprano. Check out her impression of Gladys' Midnight Train here on YouTube. It just misses. Similarly, I couldn't see Gladys doing Ain't No Way, even with falsetto, she lacks that upper range.

  • @EMPRESSGLADYS Vocal weight really don't have anything to do with ones interpretation. Aretha voice is nor where near thin. It doesn't limits the interpretation. Aretha would simply make it her own as she does all of covers. There is no limits in music.

  • @TheQueenAretha i love Aretha but Gladys is not less than her...

  • @fireandrain22 Aretha is in a class with only a few. She is ahead of many.

  • @TheQueenAretha

    Aretha tore it up

  • Now I know why they call her the queen of soul. She relegated these other "divas" if you want to call them that, to background singers. She showed those other girls how it's done! Talk about mopping the floor with somebody. Even Whitney knew better than to challenge Aretha.

  • @themostbeautifulone I believe it was a birthday party or some party for Aretha. She didn't relegate anybody to anything. It was just a party for her. Gladys sang tRespect really well. But there isn't a singer out there whose voice is rich and full enough to sing Midnight Train To Georgia as well as Gladys.

  • It is called impromptu singing. All these legends together. They sounded great and can teach these young singers a thing or two. Thanks for the post.

  • omg has anyone got the full video of cissy singing natural woman at the beginning?!!!

  • Umm Gladys actually sounded great! I don't know what you heard but other than Aretha, Gladys held her own. They are for me two of the greatest soul/gospel singers around because they have it as soon as they open their mouth. That soulful tone is not to be mistaken. It's got some of that grease from the fish that was fried. You can't beat it.

  • Wrong notes or without genius! every singers, EXCEPT for Aretha FRANKLIN, "Greatest Singer Of All-Time" by Rolling Stone Magazine.

  • Ok except too, Gladys Knight! but THE QUEEN killed THEM.

  • Comment removed

  • Just ARETHA.

  • The Empress of Soul Gladys Knight was the best as always.

  • Gladys sounded great. Natalie got a bit carried away i think, lol

  • Work it out Gladys!!!

  • This is it! They all had a blast on that stage and Aretha showed why she is Queen with that soulful ad lib that just shut the club down. Gladys, Aretha and Cissy together is a match made in HEAVEN! It's all for love people.

  • CISSY HOUSTON!!!!!!!!

  • This was a magical momemt in R&B Soul History, the talent on that stage. The royalty, The Queen, The Empress Gladys, Whitney,Pepples, this was great thanks for this one!!!

  • the queen,the empress,and THE VOICE

  • OH MY LAWD! when was this and I have NEVER heard Aretha sang that like that. OH MY LAWD!

  • They all sounded horrible... Thank goodness Aretha was in the audience to save her songs....They all look and sound as if their doing karaoke to Aretha's song. you can tell also that Aretha reigns supreme over all of them. They were so excited and in aww when Aretha started singing
