Thanks for the practice room bloopers. It's funny but at the same time truthful about what it takes to love a piece of music to the point of bearing such wonderful fruit. Great playing.
When what I try to play (mostly rachmaninoff :p) doesn't want to get in my fingers.. I sit like that too for a minute ^^ and then it mostly goes better :)
I watched all 3 of these and a really enjoyed everyone of them. All of the pieces that were taken from the movie Shine were spot on and gave me chills. I know it is probably a very easy part for you to play but I really liked 0.46 to 1:20. You play it with such ease. Awesome!
Hahaha, I love the bloopers part... not that I enjoy watching people getting frustrated on the piano - but because I know the exact feeling when I can't play something right even though you know what it should be like in your head. It also shows that real tough work is involved in practising! (and people weren't simply born to play).
I'm currently practising La Campenella by Listz and was looking at all the vids on YouTube - and saw even professionals make mistakes - makes me sleep better~
both. I am attempting to learn it too. I was wondering how long it took you because it took me a month to learn chopin's fantasie op.66. I would like to see how long it should take me to learn it. plus, you inspire me to keep at it:)
It took me around 4 months for the first movement I think. But it took another 2 month to memorize it (It took me around 1 month to learn the cadenza). The second movement took me around 2 months and the third movement is really insanely difficult, it took me around 8 months. But it all depends on how much you play everyday. I usually dont have to much time playing as Im a master student in immunology:) But I usually practice 1 hour everyday.
(Of course you wouldn't really kick a piano that way, but it reminded me of my brother when he was in high school. Ond day when he couldn't get his car to run right, he kicked the car and broke his foot.)
how many years have you need for learn, practise and improve the big big BIG rach3?? I really love this concert since i saw SHINE.
