Mayer is among them, he has a great string touch, vibrato, timming, note choice, etc.. Don't deny this just because you don't like the person. I've been playing for more than 10ys and I can tell you that Mayer's style and feel isn't as easy as you might think. But you're obviously not a musician/guitar player...

If I remember correctly, it's a mutt guitar that he picked up cheap in a junk shop. He has 11's on there or maybe 12's. I don't suppose he could tell you the exact details himself!! Funny how sometimes these cheap Strat copies sound great in the hands of these fabulous players.

Yeah, I just jammed along with this, he's in straight up A=440 standard tuning, Unlike Stevie who did tune down a half step very frequently, making it a bitch for guys with only one guitar to play along with him, and then do another tune done at regular tuning. Tune , retune, etc, that's why I run through 3 guitars now, one for Standard, one for half-step down, and one for alternates like open E, or even DADGAD type of stuff. All good and in fun m8!
