If you ever have trouble with his whirlwind attack. It works very well to have someone who can disarm or two ppl who can taunt. I had a pally taunt him off me and when he was too close to him i grabbed him back. Helps your healer if he isn't that strong. we were using a guildie who was main heals in shadow form...fun run lol

I tried doing this as my first heroic today, and it didn't go well. Everything was going fine until this boss. I think we wiped like 3 times on it. I (warrior) had a difficult time keeping all the mobs on me. A fury warrior kept on saying my spec was horrible when it was the standard 15/5/51 prot spec with all the required defensive talents. TC, SW, and Cleave just couldn't cut it for me. A very horrible experience with me being called a horrible tank.

there is a bug you can use to exploit this boss tho... once you trigger the gauntlet, make sure you run back in the room (everyone must be in it) then see if no one is in the hall then immediately run out before skadi comes back. once everyone is at the end and skadi spawns, get someone to run out there to trigger the gauntlet and the mobs should spawn all at once.

waaay easier for a war to tank it, if it's TC or SW :)

Aye, i tried it on my pally tank. Our healer had low mana, really wanted the sword, but we quit after wiping. Atleast we know more about the fight now.

Yah bro might be because your not too well geared or just may be that you have stupid dps that dont know when to let tank grab some aggro, If anything let them die :). i hate when dps rips on the tank. Dps have the easiest job in the game. I'm a Dk tank and trust me i got harassed until i got geared.

dunno, u need at least 5 poons for take down the drake, so for archivement 2 ppl use 2 poons and 1 guy use 1 poon on the cannons, so u can take down faster the skadi

in a normal situation, just put in charge 1 guy (melee) on the 5 poons, but the idea is take down faster the boss, cuz if u dont have a geared party, the tank cloud have problems on heals or mana dps could have problems, thats why u need to take down fast the boss

i know a glitch where i can pull all the mobs in 1 group and aoe them all down easy as hell and get both achivements in 1 try

This one of the easiest bosses to wipe. Some notes you must take is that try avoid to get snared in ice breath and use harpoons which are likely to get aoed with breath. When boss is down it will whirlwind and take random target. tank should save taunt as long as he can so there won't be cd in fatal situation. Good luck with him!

Hey, great job your group stayed awy from the whirlwind for the most part:) anyway need some help with this part of the heroic, I am a resto Druid 1500 base sp (I know thats not great) but I cant seem to not get agroed by all the adds bc of my HoTs I assume any clues on what I can do to help my group get past this guy cause I am pretty sure I wipe the party everytime and I bet you know how much it sucks when someone whips the party. dunno bro, i hope ur party get any aoe, the idea of this fight is kill the faster u can the adds like the shatered halls one

i mean, one we do the fight with just 1 aoe, so we do the adds fight slow as posible so our aoe dont stay withour mana, but dunno how to figure that, because is tank job get the healer alive, in this fight u can see how our healer almost get killer about that (1:19)

just try to be close the party, so when ur get aggro the party can grab those mobs from u

the clue is just not to heal at all until the tank gets at least one aoe threat spell out, they don't hit hard, so shouldnt be a problem.
