The story behind where the Giant Claw is right now is a long one. You see thirty years ago we sent a signal into space containing The King James Bible, The soundtrack to Total Recall, Paradise Lost in Klingon and the Giant Claw. Some Aliens intercepted the signal and dispatched a fleet of flying battleships to earth. The aliens made a deal with Nintendo that if they gave them the Giant Claw puppet they would give them the technology they need to make the NES. They concured and made the trade.

the last time I saw the Giant Claw was in Temple City, CA, 1957 or 58. I was in 8th grade. My friend owned the Claw's head, a cool rubber thing with big eyes. It was about the length of my forearm and on the end furthest from the head there was a hand grip device: squeezing shut the mouth and I think there was a couple of other things the head could do. My friend also had the Claw. I can't remember how he came to own them.

I've been told that this is the worse movie ever made. The sound that the bird makes is so annoying, you need a huge gun to blow it's head off. I saw this thing in the 70s on Chiller Theater when I was a really young kid. Even back then I couldn't take that damn marionette seriously. I feel bad for the actors.
