Why do we allow the barbaric practice of field burning?
For the profit of a few grass seed growers? Only 10-20% of growers use this method any more. Why do we allow them to put our health at risk? Don't we think our health matters?
And yes, it would affect a small minority of grass seed growers.
On the other hand, having the field burning affects tourism during the burning season & costs the state much money for health coverage.
Well its either burn the field or burn the 3 dollar a gallon diseal fuel we farm n we burn get over it im also a fireman and by the time the fire is lit it is gone

Please make this a priority....for all of us.

Doesn't the burning also put nutrients back into the soil? As an update, diesel is now $4.50 a gallon

The problem is, if we didn't burn our fields we would have to use tractors and equipment and it would cost us a HECK of a lot more.
