And pretty much effected the second wave of Black metal in norway after releasing their demo in 1987.

i think bathory , celtic frost and other first waves, had the biggest effect. Mayhem's Deathcrush basically gave black metal it's sound. I wouldn't say Salem effected the seen that much. The only good thing about THIS song is the vocals

But you also had late 80's stuff that effected Black metal but not many know such as salem from Israel and Rotting christ from greece..

There is a very strong connection beetween salem and mayhem especcially first mayhem members Dead and Euronymous.
