Can someone tell me how to make my music play on my dashboard at the startup screen. I used to have a modded xbox before and It used to play random music I had saved in it from my library everytime it went to the dashboard.

im still amazed that they havnt gotten regular exe pc games to work one 360 .. i belive using the partion manger on the ps3 you can put windows on there or something but no 360

XBMC used to be my favorite Xbox dashboard, but the 360 just is not as flexible as its predecessor. :(

did you change the game id? (like change the homebrew to example: san andreas id?)

@SquirlKiller no, i didnt change it. why should i do it? ;) its a jtag and i only needed to put the modded avalaunch on a disk, the xbmc on the harddrive and start it with avalaunch's filemanager ;)

It's true!!! I launched it with a hacked xbox1 emulator. But it never plays video files(((((( Also I tried to run XBMC on ubuntu but there was no sound and NO HDMI support !!!!

Anyone tried to run modern versions of GNU\Linux like Fedora 12 or OpenSUSE 11.2 on Jtaged xbox 360? may be there is HDMI support now! or at least sound driver that supports xbox's 360 sound card)))

i was just wondering how would xbmc work on linux on a jtag. also if i add ram to the xbox can i play pc games on it?

@Farve4ever589 No, i think you'll never get the chance to play pc games on a Xbox. And you cant add RAM anyways (only works with the old Xbox).

And the Team behind xbmc don't want to develop a Version for the xbox360 because for them there are too few JTAG users...

@41byCupa I burned the modded avalaunch iso file to a dvd I have the hacked original xbox emulator files in my compatibility folder and I put the compiled xbmc folder in my compatibility folder too. When I put the avalaunch dvd in my jtag it gives me the original xbox game loading sign then it restarts the console! What did I do wrong? P.s can I load xbes if I can get this to work?

@iwanthalo3reconarmor I dunno... I Never thought about the xbmc with modded avalaunch again because you actually cant do anything with the xbmc...

But with the Hacked Xbox Emulator you can Play nearly every old Xbox Game on your 360. The Games from the compatibility List will work 100% and all other Games may work or may not or with some graphic issues...

for some reason on my 360, it would load the xbmc logo and then crash. would you happen to have any idea why it does that?

@talkboxier try the old 2.0.1 FINAL Slim or Fat version. i used the slim version for this video and as you can see it works ;) you can get the 2.0.1 final from xbins

The only thing i know is that streaming with tversity works really good with the Xbox 360 but i don't know if 1080p is possible. If your pc is good enough..!? ahh i don't know... Just try it out :-D

Tversity isnt hard to set up ;-)

A ported mplayer would let you watch many video formats on your 360. i don't know if it will be available within 6 month but you can hope so ;-)

It would be great if any Xbox 360 would be jtaggable! But who knows!? Maybe someday every 360 owner can enjoy a jtagged one ;-)

Ported mplayer will let you play many media formats. If you can watch 1080p or 1080i video within 6 months is unsure...

And if all 360's will be jtaggable in the future is also not a sure thing...
