I love this band but they haven't done anything new in a long time and this song is just a song someone else originally did. They don't have the style they used to have. Really, the Adrenalize album was the last one they did that was a big.

@camuta240 2008 they released a new album with all new songs, and they are releasing 3 new studio songs with their live album coming out in May, and then they have another full new studio album coming in 2012. Songs from the Sparkle Lounge actually was their biggest album since Adrenalize. And while they weren't big their other albums sure were great, I love Slang, and Euphoria and X had some good stuff, Euphoria did great for them as well and Paper Sun is one of the best Leppard songs ever, imo

His voice was pretty much done by the mid 90's. All those years of screaming, without really taking care of it. Smoking & drinking didn't help either. Only studio wizardy can make it sound decent on records now.

@MrTommyUdo I agree. As awesome as he was, his voice is toast. Now, live, every song is tuned down so he doesn't have to sing as high. They just don't sound the same anymore. My favorite band ever...It's all unfortunate.

@lepfreak74 When you've spend your "job" basically screaming for a few decades, that's going to happen to the human voice. *You* are your instrument, and while Joe pushed his, he's also not bad for someone his age with his past (smoking, drinking) who is STILL singing rock. I'm fine with the songs in new keys because it's not a guitar, bass or drum... it's his body & there's only so far he can push it.

Well since Joe is of a huge discussion here, i'll chime in. First Joe's weight, Joe has had back problems since he was young and said years back that he was prescribed steroids for the pain, but he had no idea that they would make you ballon up, so that's y that happened! He got off them and had surgery! Now to his voice 30 years of screaming takes its toll and Joe smoked for years but finally quit! He can't hit the high notes like he use to, but after struggling his voice is much better now!

For me personally, I could give a crap about the band's appearance. It's about the music. Joe Elliot gave the music scene years of great singing, especially in his youth. He's already proven himself worthy to be in a band, so I'll give him some leeway if he isnt quite what he used to be. There's more to being a rock n roll singer than singing anyway. Mick Jagger and David Lee Roth are proof of that.

Joe has been hitting high pitch notes for more than thirty years. It cannot be expected that he will keep holding those high notes forever. As far as his weight goes, he has lost a few pounds recently. The last concert I went to was great! He actually sounds good on this one.

people really piss me off saying things about joe and his voice. obviously the sound man wasn't good and thats why cutting in and out. most intelligent people would know that. You can see as the video goes on the sound gets better. He's not porky either, he is healthy which is important!

the guy sang his heart out on the hysteria tour which was nearly two years long. hes always been a passionate singer. im sure that has had an effect.

The drums are not fake - Rick plays a digital hybrid set and he's really playing. I know it's astonishing to think that he plays with one arm, but let's face it... he's the best one armed drummer in the world!
