Incredible. I was baffled when I first seen this creature on msnbc news today, and I immediatley wondered..why didn't I ever learn about this thing? so i did some research & discovered that Okapi's weren't discovered by europeans till' 1901. they supposedly live in the congo & were kept secret by a local tribe. BULLSHIT!! i doubt it. this is obviosly a hybrid animal resulting from human experimentation.

No, its not a hybrid. What animals could you cross in the congo to form a "hybrid" like that? There is nothing within the area that is genetically related enough. This creature is the only living relative of the Giraffe and though not discovered till early 1900's, local stories about these creatures go back.
