@shaunseip Which camera do you have? The E Series 50mm f/1.8 is compatible with all DSLRS but anything below a D300 (in the current generation lineup) won't give you automatic metering, so you have to guess/calculate exposure yourself.
The lens in the video is the AF-D 50mm f/1.8. The E Series is MUCH smaller :P. And not autofocus.
@lowhelan yes, but you have to set it on the body itself. The easiest way is to put the camera in Aperture priority (turn the dial to A) en turn the commander dial (the wheel under your thumb) to set the desired aperture.

so is this the E series f1/8? I thought these were not compatible. I am shopping for a 50 mm f1/8 so any info would be great.
