@chrisdturner, maybe so, yet what you wish to watch implies for somebody to actually have a Trendelenburg for real, and so to actually have a ill health. I am quite happy seeing this test done on this patient and the result negative.
@PauleQueenie, that's quite an odd assumption. Of course I wouldn't wish ill health upon people, but it is inevitable that people will present with this condition, and by studying an actual possitive sign it enhances the learning experience and ability to diagnose and treat the weakness that causes the sign, thus creating a better standard of health care for people who are unfortunate enough to have such a condition.
@PauleQueenie actually, I am a newly qualified physiotherapist, and as such appreciate the value of seeing a possitive test result in an actual patient. No simulation or actor can truly replicate the benefit (in terms of learning assessment skills) of viewing a real patient. I did view a video of this in a real patient as part of my learning and can honestly say I gained more from viewing that than from viewing a negative result in a healthy actor.
@chrisdturner, so you graduated in 2010, you don't need to see trendelenburg on YOUTUBE so you could practice better. It is in any way BAD practice, hey nowadays there is NO value on anything. You need not actors, YOU can demonstrate positive and negative Trendelenburg on you and actually FEEL the difference.
