  • Great translation! Bravo Arash!

  • ganji fuck you and ur kind you and nayak keep sucking cock you fucking traitors

  • ganji's way = witchever direction the wind is blowing.

  • @CASEMAN57 utterly wrong, if you've been following his speeches and his work, he has never changed his way. his fundamental ideas are still there, and it has not changed abit. he has a very solid personality, i do disagree with you on that.

  • Iran needs Jesus. The true color of the Iranian's flag is not green but heavily red in color. This is the color of the blood's of Jesus.

  • Great translation by Mr. Arash Aramesh.

ترجمه عالی‌ آقای آرش آرامش. واقعا عالی‌

  • Marg bar hokumate jomhurie fashistie eslamie iran

  • This guy thinks he is smart and try to use big words to make him sound like intelligent person but he just talks bullshit he seem deluded to me he really doesn't know what's going on in the world he changed his mind once in his life I'm sure when he gets the grip of the reality he will change his mind again.

  • @kafir1917 Lol, Every heard of Napoleon, Cromwell, and Reagan. Two dictators and a puppet, yeah great history of democracies xD.Democracy comes from practice and learning from your mistakes. America did have an EXCELLENT ideology, democracy, superb revolution from Britain, BUT it seems like they went backwards now and not listening to their constitution. SOME AMERICANS DON'T EVEN THINK AMERICA WAS FOUNDED BY HAVING A SEPARATION OF RELIGION AND STATE! (EVEN POLITICAL FIGURES)

  • youtube translator in human form..

  • Is there something in my eye, or does his name translate as "big smoke?"

  • Nice translation job, Bravo

  • the translator did such a GREAT job! Afarin! bravo. also a very interesting interview.

  • He say that the islamic revolution was nothing they could do about thats a total lie. What about Shahpour bahktiars goverment whom tried to give the people what they wanted? but still they chanted khomeini. It was the people who was wrong they have to understand that..

  • @savakiii Yes because they wanted their culture which was very disrespected by Shahs time, when they were making us Westerners people retreat to religion and culture for self perservation of identity.. Im from this generation I did not live in your time but we do not want what you had or what is we want a development

  • hmmmm:

he says "revolutions can not lead to democracy". Wrong! French revolution led to democracy. So did American revolution and English Revolution.

With "intellectuals" like this ex bassiji, no wonder Iran is in such a mess.

  • @kafir1917 This was a translation issue. He clearly meant that they don't immediately lead to democracy. France wasn't truly democratic until over half a century from the beginning of the revolution. The English Revolution is your own moniker for the english civil war, and there was no true democracy in England for over 100 years after that. The American Revolution was unique in that it was a colony splitting from a colonial power. Napoleon and Cromwell were dictators, not democratic leaders.

  • This was a great interview. What made it even better was the superb translation job of Mr. Aramesh. It takes plenty of skills to be able to interpret live, especially given the difficulty of the material.

Good job Mr. Aramesh and thanks to Harry Kreisler of UC Berkeley!

  • welldone everyone, one hour of intelectuall!

  • Mr.Ganji ,If you read this message ,why you dont puuling up your sleeves and call for trustworthy people and esablish the first democratic party of iran ? if you beleieve in democracy then do that !

  • ganji to yek jenayat kari mesle onhaji ebadi montazeri jenayat kar va hajariyan jenayat kar an roz nazdik has shomha mohakeme shin

  • I thank Harry Kreisler for so skillfully steering this insightful interview as in the past and Akisbar Ganji for his braveness, clarity and depth of thoughts and his modesty. I also thank Mr. Aramesh for brevity of his translation. The interview shows that the political and social situations in Iran are complex and do not lend themselves to superficial interpretations such as those by the Western media in the past three decades. There are numerous real people and thinkers in Iran.

  • Iran needs this guy as its president

  • This was a fantastic interview, highly recommended. Respect to Ganji (and the interpreter).

  • He care about islam,it does mean he is regresive .

He think islam represent badly in the world but we know SHIT is SHIT,we don,t have good SHIT.

  • A Great Interview! Good questions, excellent answers, an eloquent translation!

  • Akbar ganji is truly an intellectual patriotic man.

  • what an amazing interview. I am so amazed by the quality of the translation, Good job Mr. Aramesh!

  • tnk to the interpreter as well!!!

  • Ganji is a mega thinker, I have never heard such a succinct and eloquent analysis of revolutions and in particular the French revolution. This should make any intelligent Iranian proud.

  • This is a fantastic talk , Ganji presents an intelligent and realistic analysis of the Iran's regime .I encourage everyone who is wondering about the complexity of political situation in Iran to watch this video.

  • the interpreter did a fantastic job! This was no easy interview, and the translator did not even pause once!

  • sorry,I wanna add something, Iranian revelution is a big failure experience which can be a great lesson for other people around Iran and the world. at least Iran story can be a big experience for humanity in future...

  • fantastic interview, he made a long story too short for us and he gave a valuable picture of meadleast to us, please make more interviews with him, we need to listen to him more...

  • Akbar Ganjie be onvane kasi ke az avale enghelab hame chiz ro tajrobe karde va be eshtebahate sarkardeha va hatta eshtebahate khodesh pei borde, barash bayad arzesh ghayal bood, daghighan hamin afradand ke baraye Iran mosbat hastand. na kasani ke taze yek rahi ro shoroo kardand, na in bache basijiha ke maloom nist az koja sabz mishan.

Zendebad Ganji o Ganjiha. Be omide roozi ke Iraniha be rooshanfekrie Ganjiha beresand

  • I agree... wonderful interpreter! Great job.

  • I like the interpreter. He's done a good job.

  • oh yeah, talk about that ! well done

  • When Ganji holds on to America for their export version of Democracy that just shows what kind of a sell out traitor he is. US export version of Democracy only comes in forms of Bombs. US doesnt give a shit about democracy in other countries, it just uses it as pretext.

  • Very well said. Ganji isn't a popular figure in Iran.

  • what? Ganji was one of the most popular dissidents in Iran, and today is among one of the writers that students read in Iran. I agree some of his views are flawed, but he is still an important figure in the opposition to the Islamic hardliners.

  • Anybody who wants to touch Iran's sacred land is an enemy. You want to live in your Kurdistan, then go to Iraq's Kurdistan, people there are living peacefully with us too.

"to bayad vidio hay degaresh ro ke rajeb kurdestan harf zadeh bebini."

Show me if any such videos exist where Ganji supports an independent Iranian Kurdistan! I dare you show me any! SHOW ME !

You're just a liar. btw, you live in US, so it's none of your business to decide on behalf us living in another part of the world.

  • No Iranian supports an independent Kurdistan. There is many Iranians living in Kurdistand today, and the Kurds are dependent on our aid and social development. But we need to create better relations between the majorities and minorities in Iran.

  • fourthly, he never mentioned anything about Kurdistan you lying piece of sh!t !

Go bomb a Palestinian kid throwing stones with your planes; that's what "God's Chosen people" good at !!!

  • deathtoeslam = Israeli Zionist monkey,

First of all, Iranian Kurds are proud of their Iranian identity, and they have proved it over over in history.

Secondly, he never mentioned anything of "Kurdish ancestry," but I suppose lying is a daily practice of Israeli Zionists, so I can't hold it against you.

thirdly, I see not only you pass yourself for a Kurd but also A baloochi as well ! LOL, a two-faced serpent like you has no culture and not surprisingly still behave like your gypsy ancestors.

  • thanks for the video !

  • He seems to be a wise man

  • hey thanx for posting this. I have great respect for this guy.

  • what are your credentials when it comes to political science ? oh yeah, a glance at your favorite videos says a lot: G-strings !!!

  • Genious, we need more people like him in Iran, america wont help the Iranian people unless it is in their intrest, and it is not. We have to do this ourselves!

  • a nicely balanced view. norizadeh, meybodi and the rest of these biased intellectuals should take heed and understand that democracy is a universal movement, not limited to the borders of islam.

  • What Ganji was saying in second half of this interview is pretty universal and reminded me heavily on my country's situation.

For us in Balkans, they(US) are doing the same for ~17 years now.

On one side they proclaim positive values and cooperation, while on other, they do everything to destabilize the region.

Instead of "In God we trust" it should be "Divide and Conquer".

  • I really enjoyed it .....thank you uctelevision for uploading this!

  • ba in tarze tafakkor ma hich vaght be jaei nemiresim....

  • aghaye noorizadeh shoma ham yad begir!

  • why Nouriadeh ?

  • While Nourizadeh pursues the human rights in Iran,I support him and I think everyone does. However his idiologies about the Iranian nuk programme and sanctions imposed on Iran are exactly what America and Britain want him to say and they are based on hostiliy.

  • dardo balat bokhore too sare Ahmadinejad o Janaty o Khamenehee o hameye mazhabiane dar ghodrat.

  • Brilliant ideas and thinking by Ganji, I do hope that one day Iranian itlectuals and political desident will consolidate their power and stand under one ubrella to move forward to remove the totalitarian regime in Iran.

    And great Iterepreting by Arash.
