Riddell Revo 360 vs Schutt Ion 4D Review

As a Junior in High school using the Revo 360 to me just suck it was the limited version with all air but the Ion is more comphy and I got 2 concussions with the revo and I had none with Ion

@powertrip25 Yeah, my padding is white, and not the same design. Schutt make a big deal about the surefit liner making it comfortable. How come I got this liner, which I do not see in any of the pictures released by schutt, or anyone's review???

It's got like oval shaped doughnut's that inflate, with a hole straight through the middle. I guess you could argue it allows more ventilation? But I feel like I might be missing out on comfort.

Really good, straight-forward; knowledgeable presentation. I just watched a program on ESPN about football helmets; injury. While Riddell was noted for being the official helmet of the NFL, Schott was not mentioned at all. I'm a journalist; while not a 'rabid' fan, I am a 4 decades long member of the Steeler nation! We're going to forward your video to our product guys so they can see first hand what athletes are saying about the two helmets. When you get the chance, check out the Vengeance. BTW.. we did not integrate the Energy Faceguard system into the Vengeance bc that's unique to the ION and the new faceguards for the Vengeance will also help absorb impact.

Hey if you like keeping your liners clean you can just a skull cap at sports chalet they're like $14 and you wouldn't have to wash it as much. Just thought that might help.

@1vontadavis Use the bigger clips from the Oakley Visor, and make sure the tiny tabs point towards the outside of the helmet away from each other. Check out my other youtube vid on the 360 Oakley Visor.

@shioc10 I have only used mine twice and so far no. I imagine it will and I'm really anal about my helmet being clean so I make sure I wash my hair and put nothing in it before I use it. The overliner is removable and you can hand wash it.

Aactually ion got better padding than 360.

Riddell is using just foam and air.

And schutt got TPU padding, which is good at heat menagment, and its very good at absorbig impacts.

And ion got better facemasks :) Thats mi opinion.

Hey i've got a revo speed and i think is great, but how is the 360 different than the speed besides the extra release point on the facemask and the liners?

@THATFOOTBALLGUY1 Revo 360 has a more flexible facemask and a whole new frontal system. Way more impact protection in the front of the helmet than the Speed. Look at the video on the Riddell site for the 360 to explain it.

@BeatyCole24 Since you play QB you are probably not taking a lot of hits the front of your helmet so I would recommend the Ion 4D since the TPU is probably better protection that the traditional foam and overliner in the Riddell.

@mrinkredibul Hey bro, no disrespect because you're probably more experienced then me but QBs, when they are hit, the (blind sided more likely) will be harder then most hits other than head-to-head contact. This is just my opinion because I cannot see the hit coming.

@JewishJonathonn I agree with you...THe schutt has BETTER protection in the rest of the helmet in my humble opinion.  The revo is better at protecting frontal hits where more than 70% of the hits are taken according to Riddell. I don't think this is true for QBs who are not hit in the front.
