@jill1250 Ben johnson, while a juicer, squatted 600 for 6 and benched 400 for reps. The point of this video is that speed is aided by strength work. Obvi benching 700 shirted won't make you fast, but sprinting regularly AND benching and squatting dirty numbers will. As long as that relative strength is high, you're going to be fast. You must be a Canadian, right?
@vibit7For striking its absolute speed or speed strength,very low resistance and very little time to generate force so max strength wont have much effect.Clinching,wrestling and grappling is high resistance,sometimes static so max strength and strength speed dominate.However theres a great endurance element so stregth endurance and power endurance become important also.
I have absolutely no idea, since he removed his comment. But it would probably be about the speed/strength continuum. Judging by the general negative response to his comments, it was probably something along the line of what is discussed in this video.
