The problem isn't the presence of tuition fees - it's that people on low incomes don't know that there's loads of help available. It's just assumed that university is really expensive which it is, but would be outweighed by the long term benefits. You don't even have to pay back your student debt until you're earning £15,000 or more per year. Where else are universities going to get the funding from? They need it to improve the quality of their services and compete internationally.
Everybody should have access to free education otherwise what's the point of the state at all? I get fed up with people moaning about non-graduates paying for students; if somebody's getting NHS treatment for cancer, I don't begrudge them that. Everybody is taxed on earnings, savings, even everything they purchase! If that money can't be spent of free education and healthcare then let's just call the whole thing off.
Don't expect anything to change after the election whoever you vote for. All the main parties are loyal to organizations like Common Purpose, the Bilderberg group, the EU and the globalist banking cartel. All are aiding the subversion of the UK on behalf of the EU. No I'm not in the slightest bit bothered about being in student debt as the employment service makes it easy for me, in that I'll never be earning over £16,000 as I know employers too well and therefore the student debt just remains as it is. I am going for the MA come what may, regardless of what the government does.
Also, your Master's degree won't just cost £3,000 a year, that's merely the course costs. Surely, you'll need to pay for accommodation/food/supplies, which will more than double that figure.

The first thing I said when the torries gained power is;

Enjoy your time in government, it will be the Lib Dem's last time for a LONG time... you have lied and screwed over an entire generation by selling your soul to the conservatives. We are essentially funding a giant game of top trumps between the top universities, as to who has the flashiest computer suites, biggest buildings and famous professors. Hardly any of this money is invested directly back into where students need it. Why not monitor how universities spend their money before giving more?

I'd love to go to University, and I hope I will, I'm already saving lol. But, I don't think this could happen. I'd love free University, but realisticly? And besides, there is a lot more than just tution fees, regardless of the already mounting cost.
I wouldn't vote Lib Dem, but hey; so long as it isn't COnservetive they can lead the countrya s far as I'm concerned.

The problem isn't the presence of tuition fees - it's that people on low incomes don't know that there's loads of help available. It's just assumed that university is really expensive which it is, but would be outweighed by the long term benefits. You don't even have to pay back your student debt until you're earning £15,000 or more per year. Where else are universities going to get the funding from? They need it to improve the quality of their services and compete internationally.

Everybody should have access to free education otherwise what's the point of the state at all? I get fed up with people moaning about non-graduates paying for students; if somebody's getting NHS treatment for cancer, I don't begrudge them that. Everybody is taxed on earnings, savings, even everything they purchase! If that money can't be spent of free education and healthcare then let's just call the whole thing off.

I have done my degree at undergraduate level and will in no way back off from driving lessons or a Master's Degree despite £3,000 per year for my two year MA course, Gordon Brown and Labour MP's take note

Perhaps you're in a lucky enough position to be able to do so (or aren't much bothered about being in tens of thousands of pounds worth of debt), but education should be a public service, not a product. Yes, it should be paid for and I'd happily see a general tax increase to do this, but it's wrong to put the burden on the back of each individual student who happens to come from a less financially prosperous background.

No I'm not in the slightest bit bothered about being in student debt as the employment service makes it easy for me, in that I'll never be earning over £16,000 as I know employers too well and therefore the student debt just remains as it is. I am going for the MA come what may, regardless of what the government does.

Also, your Master's degree won't just cost £3,000 a year, that's merely the course costs. Surely, you'll need to pay for accommodation/food/supplies, which will more than double that figure.
