Personally, I'm not sure about any religion anymore. I suppose that any book that can convince millions of people to worship it must be pretty good, but some things are just completly... unreasonable. For instance, why would God let hundereds of innocent kids in Africa suffer from starvation and dehydration. Why must kids have cancer or diabetes? Life is not fair, neither is any religion. I believe to be fair, you have to stick with your own morals and conscience.
And another thing, I don't think of myself as an athiest or any other, I think of myself as a super distant Christian, that has some doubts. 1) A moral standard
2) The flourishing of one and only one culture
3)The rare technological advances which would most likely have been created, given time.

Yes it is. I don't know how many people, movies, art or music are inspired by the bible. All the universal themes are present love, hope, belief, war, hate, jealousy. God IS great but he is also just. The Egyptians were killed because of their disbelief and persecution of God's people. If he would've just killed the Egyptian adults, who would've raised their children? God gives life and he takes it. He's not taking our souls....just removing them from the earthly shell that he created. When the children died, they went on to a better place. They were not punished. People shouldn't always look at death as a bad thing.

Yes it is. I don't know how many people, movies, art or music are inspired by the bible. All the universal themes are present love, hope, belief, war, hate, jealousy. Plus the stories, wisdom, excitement in the bible is second to none. Plus all the questions it sparks. Plus it's the most sold and influential book. U can't say that about a figurative boy like harry stutter (although i appreciate him).
