Dude thank you so much for posting this sh*t, I loved the music to this game.... the atmosphere it created was pure bliss... hardcore nostalgia for the game listening to it now =(
@ACGuy31 I can't agree more... the vaults were one of my favorite things about AC2. Aside from the fact I played on Darktide and the FFA PvP system was amazing... I got my ass handed to me when I first started playing but never regretted my decision to play on the PvP server... At later levels it was so fun to run around with a group of people mowing down anything that moved =D
@TheBadCouch I played over on Darktide as well, as Artifex. It was good, up until the server numbers started dropping. I'd be online with three other people, and one of them would want me dead, lol.
It is a great soundtrack. I'm not aware of it being available for download anywhere, but you might be able to find it online. Otherwise, you can access the playlist from my channel profile by change the view setting to 'Playlists'.
I remember seeing the AC2 demo at Gencon back in 2002, met Ken Karl and was in closed Beta. The game looked visually impressive especially for it's time, it was difficult enough running the game. While the graphics were beautiful, the gameplay from AC1 was not and it felt like a completely different game. I could not make the transistion.
I'm not surprised. Part of the issue was managing resources and knowing when they didn't need a high-poly model and high-resolution texture. There were also memory leaks.
I miss AC2 very much. No game comes close, please bring it back.

@TheBadCouch Not a problem. One of the coolest parts of the game was the atmosphere set by the vaults.

You're welcome. It was a beautiful world. Almost to a fault. A lot of people had trouble running the game initially.

AC2 portal space is still used today to benchmark high end systems.
