  • Were you fired?

  • did he died?

  • IS THE TREE OK?!

  • How lucky they people could be hurt effect on London underground! Next time they will tries safety checks the tree are safe before continuting the railway. Otherwise they will be no information about the weather warning!!!

  • Did they have to shoot the tree to put it out of its misery?

  • Where was this?

  • how were the passengers?!?!?

  • The trials of the "teacup" timetable and the rest are happening now. Anyone been caught out, or seen people getting cuaght out by the new sub-surface or Piccadilly line arrangements?

  • A train striking a tree is unusual, more often they strike objects thrown on the line like scaffolding poles and bikes.

  • oh for fuck sake you didnt like say in the headline that the picc is in front!

so dont blame it on me!

    dick!

  • POOR A60 THE BEST EVER ON THE LONDON UNDERGROUND SYSTEM !NOTHING WILLEVER BEAT THEM I REMEMBER WHEN THEY FIRST STARTED RUNNING I WAS ABOUT 9 YEARS OLD AND HAD TO GO TO UXBRIDGE WEEKLY I WOULD ALWAYS ASK MUM TO WAIT FOR "the new train" or if a "Q stock" was in uxbridge we would get that YES IT WAS BETWEEN ICKENHAM AND RUISLIP !

  • The A60s are now clapped out, the cabs leak, the bogies are cracking and they accelerate like slugs.

  • true but better than plastic smelling bubblewrap trains

  • Would be better if it was a video and not just still shots.

  • Twit, the Metropolitan line train hit the tree, the Piccadilly line train then went up behind it to protect the section of track, so no other trains could enter it while the ERU was working. Fucking idiot

  • @jakethejuj56 There is a branch on the metropolitan line where the piccadilly line shares. Its proberbly that branch

  • whats the crash?

  • The crash is where the train hit's the branch.

  • Poor Tree!

  • omg i no where this was i think it was at ruislip station cos the last few pics were in ruislip station o.0 i live like 3 stops away

  • LOLWTF swerved around it? OMG

  • you cant swerve or turn a train, it fallows the tracks, think beffor you type!!!!

  • That train seen in the distance is a 1973 tube stock train, which means that its a Piccadilly Line train.

OK, the Metropolitan and Piccadilly both serve the Uxbridge branch, which I guess is where this happened.

  • the 73ts was behind my A stock and couldent get past the tree (the A stock was the one that hit the tree)

  • aha!

Thanks, I thought that the District had nothing to do with it.

    Simon

  • A60's were the fastest trains on London Underground, I assume they still are.

  • It used to be possible to get a 62 stock up to 60mph downhill from Epping into Theydon Bois which was probably 20mph more than they were supposed to be doing.

The track was not in good condition & it was a rough ride!
