Sure, counter-strike is much more of a camping game than most fps' out there. So what? Some people like it that way (NOT ME MY GOD NO, I just respect people's opinions). Counter-Strike is also more of a sniping skill meter (LOL AWP N00B. Got bored of that words in CS 1.6), while CoD2 is much better at it. BUT, CS 1.6 has its own unique features which make some people like it (or hate it). For me? TFC. Thanks, away with that M4, say hello to that backstabbing corpse.

I hated CS when playing it on the internet, laning it with a few dozen friends however was quite fun, mostly because if you waited 20 minutes camping the dead players would just shout out where you were hiding. Game experiance using online multiplayer over the interenet could be best descibed as if /b/ were a videogame that hated itself.

It's all about sniping, angles, wallhacks, or playing with legit friends on a good server and banning the hackers who are no fun. Also, TFC is the gameplay, TF2 is the graphics update with worse slow paced gameplay. It's simple, everyone knows that..

You have risen a fine point, and to this very day I still enjoy Team Fortress Classic.

I simply find it more fun than Counterstrike, where it is only fun if you are in a full server.

Plus - The overexaggerated gore on TFC makes it all the more worthwhile :)

CS is moreso a strategic game, while the whole Team Fortress series has been more of a run-and-gun kind of deal. Both games require a good amount of skill, but they're different in those aspects.

Well cs DOES have alot of "campers" but still it does require more strategy, and the teams who use it win, pluss it is more realistic!

Sometimes--but rarely--the chaos in TFC can piss me off, but CS is only fun with my friends in the server. TFC has a broader range of gameplay, and it requires you to work as a team using what you've got; as opposed to things you buy on a menu.

Plus it's annoying to hear "Counterterrorists win" every time someone wins/loses.

I think it's usually fairly easy to understand based on the context of the sentence. Anyway, I should add that this video would be better if it wasn't so obviously biased. Hell, I don't even like CS all that much, but I know there's more to it than sniping and camping, and it would be better if it tried to take on a more objective view.

completely different styles for completely different types of gameplay. I feel like when counter-strike first came out it was unique in that it wasn't non-stop action like some of the other shooters that were popular at the time. for me, a huge difference was in the fear of death, i found counter-strike to be much more thrilling because of that aspect, but also more frustrating at times. its definitely a trade off.

Almost entirely? I would just say completely different the only thing close enough to the same is the fact of it's classes, and the god damn soldier owns the battlefield anyway.
