I reckon the players should give energy to the trollers and the trollers can then help or hinder the players with the energy given, Co operative and kinda like bribing people... They have to accept the Bribe they want :) Thumbs up if you like the sound of this!
how about making it so that one troll player is assigned a player actually playing and the goal for the troll player is to make the the person they are trolling loose.
also, the person the troll player is assigned is only allowed to troll that player.

There was a Map like this in Warcraft 3, it worked like the Overlord game mode. You could give units to players, cause different events and use chat to give quests (for example give yourself units and call out a quests that whoever kills these gets some units or resources as gifts). It was fun.
Oh, and I think there should be a mode in which the goal for the observer is to make the game continue for a certain amount of time. Then the winner of the 2 trollcraft is the one with the most 'Style points'. Just a thought, as this will mean that the incentive is not to destroy the players, but to troll there game long enough for the trollcraft to win?

I would probably prefer either the skills/abilities of the trollcraft being unlocked by meeting certain prerequisites (A mineral cost + The presence of a certain building) that way you unlock certain abilities that match the build your going for. So I rush out a certain unit (templar assassin) and when I build templar archives it unlocks the ability 'deep cloak' or some such (10 second temporary cloak where your are completely undetectable).. So build orders effect trollcraft ability unlocks.

call it black and white mode and give each patron god a creature (any unit so long as it is scaled big) that is friendly and (maybe) persistant. this way, if it is persistant and a new creature is against a more experianced creature, then you will be able to blance it via starting energy for the patron gods.
ie: a newbie with a weak creature has tons of energy to assist the player while the old STRONG creature can rush, but would be hindered and/or killed by patron's weak creature and energy
The more I think about this game concept, the less I think it will work in any way on an anonymous platform as the internet.
Futhermore, I wonder which player would willingly subjegate themselves to being in such a inferior position, dependant on thw whims of some random guy on battle net.

it all sounds really cool but the guys actually playing the "real" game are kind of gonna be screwed over with cooperative chaos, so what if there were a way for the players to sort of band together and fight back against the trolls. There could be a resources pool like the rage pool and extra weapons for the players that they could set up like turrets or nets or something to attack the trolls. Fight back against the malignant gods, it could be its own game type or part of cooperative chaos.
I almost always play with random people on modded games for Starcraft 2, It seems like I will have to wait for my friends to log to enjoy this from what this video has shown. :/

What if you super slow the regen and allow players to "donate" gas and minerals to the observers to use on the opposite player. eg: minerals give 1:1 energy gas gives 3energy per 1 gas. OR give each player one of the observers. the observer can see both players ofc but only screw up the game for the player he's assigned for. :D
You should some kind of scoring system where the trollcrafters get points for dragging out the match as long as they can, to encourage them to try and balance the match when one player gets ahead, as opposed to ganging up on a single player. The players should also get points for not only winning, but doing so in the least amount of time possible, to discourage cooperation between players and trollcrafters.
I`d like a concept like this only the other way around. You get 1 "god" and 1 player on each team then its all about wich god can help his team mate the most to win. No negative spells all possitive and all about helping and teamwork

also, to give a 'warning', make powers not a single-target spell, but an area-target spell with a very, very small cast area.
for example: if you want to use a spell that will turn units into chickens, instead of selecting a specific unit to change, it will have a very small aoe cast (about a size of a small unit). When activated, it will show some kind of a warning (like red signs before nuke drops), and after few seconds a meteor drops and turns unlucky units into chickens.
@ryusm92 that will allow some balance, because not only it frees players from being 'helpless victims of trollgods' and actually give them some kind of a way to resist too much trolling, but also makes god's role a bit more engaging; instead of mindlessly clicking every unit, you actually have to 'aim' a little bit.
@ryusm92 just to add in a little bit more, maybe either god themselves or players should have a small way to resist back at trolling gods, such as stunning them for few seconds, teleporting them away, or blinding them for few seconds, during cooperative chaos mode.

I think you should earn points for playing. More for wining. And you can use those points as energy for your trollcraft in other games. Otherwise, there doesnt seem to be much motivation to be on the recieving end.
@TotalHalibut just an idea but you could have the trollcrafts be able to spawn a neutral Nydus worm that releases a bunch of Zerglings or something funny like that, or infected terrans that don't die cause of time restrictions, but instead of the player killing them.

This looks very good on concept. But in practice, and taking into acount human nature, isnt it more likely that trollcrafters will just gang up on a single player? or that a player will just ragequit when he gets affected by the trollcraft?
Even if its intened as a friends-only game, there are bound to be many people who will want to play it even with strangers. Either way, it seems like it could cause a very sour experience on both sides if not handled properly.
@Ironwyrm Maybe they will implement a feature, like an anti shield so if you got to much influenced, you cannot get more influenced by one of the gods for a amount of time and also they have to influence diffrent players, so it keeps being a bit on the fair side.

You play this to actually have some fun, if they choose to gang up on you and you ragequit then you don't really deserve to play this game. The game is for fun, if you can't laugh then why bother playing it.
there should be a talent tree type thing for the observers to unlock so they cant fuck with the probes too bad from the start. also they should have to do something for these unlocks sort of like farming creeps or something
You should add positive and negative worship aura surrounding units and buildings, so when a trollcraft glides over them it will regenerate or drain their energy, that way you can actually be affected by "mortal" players and direct attacks have downsides.
Could also roll with shrines spread out across the map that can be captured to attain higher level abilities, energy boosts, buffs,... again giving more interaction between deities and mortals.
@TotalHalibut the trollcraft should be able to spawn the most powerful unit the armies currently playing can build, BUT they have only 1hp and no other special protection just for that HOLY SHIT factor when a player rushes all his units in only to find out ........(wait for it)........ hes bin TROLLED lol the excellent part of it is that if ignored all together its can still do alot of damage but the players wont know wether its a real unit or a Dud
PS: The "trollcraft" is hilarious. Maybe make it randomly spew Leviathans (but they're basically fireworks that randomly go out and blow themselves up)....and needs a terran unit in it. Perhaps make it have wraith (or something) behind it like a broodlord? (Mothership/infestor as broodlord, terran unit as broodlings, with attack disabled)
Perhaps for the "deities", the "gods" are stuck at being whatever main buildings that team/player has (lair/hatchery/lair/command center/nexus), but stuck at "all" of them. They can move between them, but can't move away from them (say, 5 range max)
"Random" ability. Do ANYTHING (even things that you still must "buy")...but you have NO idea which power is going to be used and have no control over anything, but something will definitely happen. Like someone losing all their minerals, or suddenly getting their vespene doubled.
Here I figured "Coop Chaos" would basically be a troll working for a player, and competitive is where you're trying to buy them off. Perhaps this buyoff will let them use more stuff in another round...like bonus starting minerals? Or double mineral gain? Or something like that?
i think trollcraft should be able to bring down drop pods and such of marines, zealots, and underlings that u can control. it would add some more interaction with the game

When activated, it will show some kind of a warning (like red signs before nuke drops), and after few seconds a meteor drops and turns unlucky units into chickens.

@ryusm92 that will allow some balance, because not only it frees players from being 'helpless victims of trollgods' and actually give them some kind of a way to resist too much trolling, but also makes god's role a bit more engaging; instead of mindlessly clicking every unit, you actually have to 'aim' a little bit.

@ryusm92 just to add in a little bit more, maybe either god themselves or players should have a small way to resist back at trolling gods, such as stunning them for few seconds, teleporting them away, or blinding them for few seconds, during cooperative chaos mode.

I think you should earn points for playing. More for wining. And you can use those points as energy for your trollcraft in other games. Otherwise, there doesnt seem to be much motivation to be on the recieving end.

TotalBiscuit, can you please make a video about ACTA: an international bill that is largely being kept secret (only having details released due to WikiLeaks) that at the very minimal surface is far more severe than SOPA or PIPA (which were mostly likely meant to distract us from it). This looks very good on concept. But in practice, and taking into acount human nature, isnt it more likely that trollcrafters will just gang up on a single player? or that a player will just ragequit when he gets affected by the trollcraft?
Even if its intened as a friends-only game, there are bound to be many people who will want to play it even with strangers. Either way, it seems like it could cause a very sour experience on both sides if not handled properly.

@Ironwyrm They probably wont gang up on a single player, im more worried about people playing it and teaming up with a trollocraft in Cooperative chaos and then ruining the game for the other player. And they probably wont rage quit if affected by a trollocraft, its trollobattles, and it happens.
I can see people rage quitting because they are getting ganged up on by a trollocraft, but not much else.
I'm worried about people mind controlling a builder and building there own base.

You play this to actually have some fun, if they choose to gang up on you and you ragequit then you don't really deserve to play this game. The game is for fun, if you can't laugh then why bother playing it.

You should add positive and negative worship aura surrounding units and buildings, so when a trollcraft glides over them it will regenerate or drain their energy, that way you can actually be affected by "mortal" players and direct attacks have downsides.
Could also roll with shrines spread out across the map that can be captured to attain higher level abilities, energy boosts, buffs,... again giving more interaction between deities and mortals.

PS: The "trollcraft" is hilarious. Maybe make it randomly spew Leviathans (but they're basically fireworks that randomly go out and blow themselves up)....and needs a terran unit in it. Perhaps make it have wraith (or something) behind it like a broodlord? (Mothership/infestor as broodlord, terran unit as broodlings, with attack disabled)

Perhaps for the "deities", the "gods" are stuck at being whatever main buildings that team/player has (lair/hatchery/lair/command center/nexus), but stuck at "all" of them. They can move between them, but can't move away from them (say, 5 range max)
