I use this same U-perm, but I mirror it on L side instead... And for recognition, I just find the face that has 2 corner stickers and 1 opposite colored edge sticker on the side of the last layer, then start hacking away at that face.....

For M's you can use your thumb or index finger
^I meant for M moves you can use thumb or index finger, but M's you'll use ring or middle finger

I've heard of a different algorithim for both U perm cases
When the middle piece moves to the left: M2 U' M U2 M' U' M2 (7 moves)
When the middle piece moves to the right: M2 U M U2 M' U M2 (7 moves)
For M's you can use your thumb or index finger, for M2's use Bob Burton's fingertrick
I just learned them and I'm not really good at them, but I think they've got potential
The idea in them is to finish the left and right sides, and the last edge will automatically be permuted
erik akkersdijk use thisones ;) its fast but u have to get used to it

I have a different algorithm for the first case. Holding it with the fully solved side on the B side do R2 U R U R' U' R' U' R' U R'
I think it's easier to remember and there's no need to do the y2 at the beginning.

The second one you showed is what i use, but for the first one I just do a mirror.

my way is so much easier and shorter, i think XD :
if the center piece needs to go to the right ( the center piece must face you ) - F2 Ui (Ri,L) OR M instead of ( Ri,L) F2 (R,Li) OR Mi Ui L2
if the center piece has to go to the left instead of doing F2 Ui in the begginning just do F2 U

farr, remembering all of the permutations must b hard!

Yes it was at first. Then it was easy. :)

you made a mistake, the first time you said the peice needed to move to the right, yet it need to move to the left

for this, I like my alg better.
Wow, thats alot faster than my old one.
