  • if it's a studio recording, they went to alot of trouble to include the sound of passing cars!

  • I think it's a studio recording and I don't think he is really at Versailles. It is just a backdrop. Not a single person in the background notices the guitarist or even the camera. That gives it away.

Still a beautiful performance by one of my favorite guitarists.

  • Oui, c'est ça!

  • Excellence in the present ! ! !

  • amazing! Gave me goosebumps.

  • <3__<3 !!!

  • Bravo Enno!

  • Interpretação digna de um artista. Belo som e muita coragem. Parabéns!

  • It seems that you played inside a room; or else folks would certainly stayed around you and listened. It was wonderful.

  • The people that hit the "Thumbs Down" thought that was for downloading...

  • This is wonderful

  • L' interprétation est superbe, respectant la liaison des notes et la sonorité, mais ça m' étonne de n' entendre aucun bruit extérieur...

  • You look like James May from top gear

  • Waouu, first time i have ever had listen this music on a guitar, i used to listen already on a piano, and of course on a Harpsichord... Congratulations, it's beautiful, so clear...Thanks for this nice moment.

  • As perfect as I`ve ever heard. Lovely.

  • I should point out that he IS Beethoven!Just so that there should be no confusion over this.

  • Wonderful! A very nice interpretation!!!

  • btw nice chick at min. 2:00

  • Beethoven playing Couperin at Versailles !

  • this is so beautiful! I played this for my exam harpsichord :D

  • He does look like Beethoven!

  • Remarquable ! La tonalité est-elle celle de la version originale ?

  • Tres bien ! Joue avec gout! Merci!

  • you look like dwight shrute from "the office", hahaha

  • beautifull rendition of this piece.played with great feel.love the video!

  • James May!

  • He's obviously finger-synching--still, a great performance.

  • So profoundly soulful and exquisitely beautiful. No other rendition compares.

  • The tourists indifference almost broke my heart.

(am i the first to suspect this is a studio recording, as beautiful as it is? :p )

  • @CraxiProfessional if you have good speakers you can see that the track was added on top of the recording because it was too noisy. If he did in studio i'm sure he can do it live in front of the palace as well. Very beautiful version!!

  • A wonderful homecoming to Versailles for this piece.. But I suspect that the version we are hearing is not the performance we are seeing. It seems looped.

  • you look like Ludwig Van Beethoven

  • I've loved this piece for many years, since hearing Parkening's version. You perform it beautifully, with great tone and an intelligent, meditative interpretation. Thanks for the listening pleasure!

  • very interesting, beautifull music with a french view, it makes me feel like if i were inside the film, i can even feel the cold afternoon, amazing!!!

  • very interesting beautyfull music with a french view, i feel me inside the film, i can feel the cold afternoon, amazing!!!!

  • The best guitar version of Les Barricades Mystérieuses. I respect you.

  • So incredibly beautiful. Very nice tonal quality and emotional development throughout the piece. Keep playing!

  • A lot of work.................at your computer!

  • How do you get reverb when playing outdoors in the middle of a plaza?

  • Thanks again for this baroque masterpiece, beautifully rendered.

  • What a beautiful rendition in guitar what was originally composed for the harpsichord..and how appropriate to be in front of the Palace of Versailles!

  • This just goes to prove that you could put one of the greatest guitar players in the world on the street or the subway, and the public would be too stupid to stop and listen.

  • this is so wonderful- thank you!

  • That's goes imedately among my favourites!!! both for the beauty of the piece and for the marvellous playing!!!

  • As good as it gets!

  • hey folks .. those are tourists walking by !! not french people .. well errr I am French so .. I love this version anyway .. recorded in a studio obviously .; but that does not change the magic ! thank you segoavi (segovia anagram haha) excellent

  • @mayabis

Tu as bien raison! je préfère la version avec la guitarre mieux qu'au piano!

  • My favorite guitarist, ok also john Williams

but this is very special and artistic!!!

  • I' ve no words...But is it a dream ? I hope so ...

  • All the people walking by, unable to appreciate what they are witnessing. I believe I am in a world different from these passersby.

  • So beautifully played.

Is this arrangement available at all?

You certainly inspire me in my playing.

    Alain

  • parkening has an awesome arramgement of this. 9.95 on ebay- "parkening and the guitar" vol 2

even though this is great- parkening sets the standard- and i believe he was the first to play it on guitar...

    good job! nice playing

  • Great! There would be perhaps only one even better version of it: At Versailles IN THE SNOW :-) Seriously, regardless the noises this performance has an out-of-this-world effect, which makes it even more precious. Best regards,

    Gergely
