@animalliberation0961, I understand, my friend. Tony answered all my questions when I was hesitating about getting a greyhound because I have 6 lovebirds. All the greyhounds that I have seen want so much to please that they can be trained. Some are already cat-friendly (most adoption groups test them before giving them for adoption). My beautiful girl could not be tested with birds of course, but I first put her in a crate when the birds were let free (an hour or so every night).
She now sleeps peacefully on the couch when they fly around and sometimes chose to go for cover in her crate. She would never harm them! I watch at all times, of course!
You can see many videos of greyhounds with cats, even with rabbits. After they feel that the other animal is part of their pack, they live peacefully side by side.
@animalliberation0961 When I adopted my greyhound, they told me that he was not good with cats. Apparently, they said it just in case, because my greyhound loves them now. Of course, during the first few months, they were all under close observation by me. Because, I love my cats to death and I would not let anything happen to them. Greyhounds are smart. They adjust to their owners. Once they understand that the cats are also a part of that family, they accept it and go with the flow.
Just let the adoption people know you have cats and they will get one with a low prey drive. Our 8 year old girl lives with multiple cats and is fine - just introduce slowly ...
Beautiful video but people can save thousands of these innocent creatures lives by helping to bring an end to commercial greyhound racing and all the abuse and cruelty that comes with this gambling industry.

They are truly lovely beings, and although we've traditionally been a cat/rat family, we'd love to someday open our home to a dog.
