Not bad - but if I am to be really critical - I remind you all - that this is a very happy (albeit melancholic) poem. The trick is to get the balance between happiness and melancholy right. You lean toward the latter but that's fine.
I second what RockOfDesire says below. You have a gift. Does it come from being Older and Wiser? If so, the years have given you much, despite what pain you may have suffered - or suffer. You have the look of One Who Knows.

thank you very much for your very encouraging words .. i am indeed touched by your observation about the pain i have suffered . but then all of us have our shares of pains and happiness and they have a tendency to balance out in the long run .. and i wish i could say i know .. ( sigh ) there is so much to know .. so much ... so much ! and just one life time... running out fast !
yes i agree fully that people are chasing money and money making educations .. and missing out on the beauty of thoughts like those of wordsworth and their ilk ! thanks .. will be posting more .
You've made the reading of this poem almost a spiritual experience, and for that reason, your rendition of this poem is special to me. It's good to note your visible respect for poetry.
thanks .. and i value your comments a lot since i have seen that you have yourself done a lot of poems .. and so i'm sure you know a lot about poems and their recitation .. thanks
yes.. it is me and no.. i am a retired senior bank executive .. was handling computer networking, digital signatures etc there ...retired early to do the things in life i always wanted to do .. life is too short isnt it ?

It was a pleasure listening to your rendition of Daffodils.
There is something we all miss in life. Certainly poetry is one of them.
I feel even our education system which is highly business and technology
oriented lacks human approach.
As a result every one is busy doing jobs living lives without zest or spirit
much less the tranquility Wordsworth enjoyed!
May I requset you upload some more good poems like "Under The Greenwood Tree.." etc.
Thanks

It sounds ok at my office. Was it meant to be recited softly?
"For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon the inward eye"
Was it Wordsworth or Coleridge who defined poetry as "emotions recollected in tranquility"? The lines quoted above reminded of this definition.

i think so ( to be recited softly ) .. especially since it exactly fits with Coleridge's idea "emotions recollected in tranquility "

Daffodil is one of my favorites - though I can't recite it! Sounds good but the voice seems a little weak - or is it my speaker?!

sounds ok on my system though ...but yes it is recited in a low voice
