If you swapped the engine to get more power for drifting, you should have bought some decent wheels you will not cry that, if they get wasted by accident and a stiffer suspension. Drifting is less about power than control. You can even drift a golf cart, if you know how to transfer weight :)

You are mistaken. 318is Class II, like this, are made only in 1994. So engine is still M42. But I wrote my VIN, why isnt anybody reading?!

actually sorry all but BMW DID make a few 318is non-coupes.

They had the standard rear disc brakes, sports suspension and M44 engines like the 318is coupes.

They are very rare cars because most people would buy the 320i for the same money... who wouldn't?

only in USA probably... in europe you have the 318is which is a 1.8 litre 140 hp. it has nothing to do with exterior, just another engine between 318i and 320i.

@alibabaG420 Not much. 12 hours non-stop work and everything was ready - engine, ECU, cooling, transmission, differential, shafts and rear brake discs.

Update. Just swaped M52B28 engine. Now it is not 318i, 318is or whatever. Just 328i. :D

acctually this car looks to be the 318is with the S42 considering its got the ///M package and is a 4 door but if its not the s42 then its not an is it is a 318i but it doesnt matter it still has an m42 because after the M3 came out the new 318is had a m44 damn guys get ur facts straight

This is just 318is sedan Class 2. Class 2 means original M-technic pack (everything without ext. mirrors). The engine is still M42 :)
