For those who are curious, this is a surreal/hyperrealistic film. Every scene is an allegory for todays current social issues. Some scenes are more encrypted than others.
This movie is a microcosm of the creators view of the United States.
Could you explain the bunny/cowboy scene? You know, where they shoot the bunny and cuss at it and say how much it stinks? I'm very interested to know what that means, cause I just thought this was a random ass movie, but I guess it isn't.
When I look at the bunny/cowboy scene, I think he is making social commentary on children/violence/television. American television for kids in the 50's were Cowboys and Indians, so what we see in the scene are the kids playing the cowboys, but this time, they are incredibly vulgar and violent, kind of reflecting todays television and media. The bunny is more or less a silent narrator taking us from place to place. His part in that scene was not essential to the commentary other than showing us.
There's a lot more. An example would be the the kitchen scene where they are drinking and arm wrestling. If you watch that scene, you will notice that the old giant hairy man will arm wrestle the black gay jewish midget. The midget is wearing a shirt that says (Israel). The black small person will win. It is a post-modernist re-enactment of David and Goliath.
You sir, just answered my question I was gonna ask. Thank you :) This film seems very in-depth and interesting. Haven't got around to watching it all yet, but will soon. :D
This movie was pretty lame in my opinion. I did find it unsettling and somewhat unique, but would never recommend it to anyone because ultimately it is just a wast of 84 minutes. For a much better movie, watch George Washington.

i completely agree with you. This movie was a complete waste of time. I thought maybe that it would al come together in the end but to my surprise, it didn't.
I agree, not only does this film have some beautiful imagery it's also funny, sexy and twisted at the same time. I love the style of blending documentary footage with acting. This movie really is something else.
That is creepy. But kind of sexy too :)

I don't understand why this movie is considered brilliant or anything, but it's more interesting than George Washington.
