  • Great job mate. You should keep it up and work for them. I heard you can make 100,000 a month making apps for them. I know someone who knows someone who does that. That source is from family. So yeah. I love this stuff and am just getting into it. Great job. What's the software. Do you know how to make games from websites into apps? I'd really appreciate all the help!!! Keep it up!

  • @XcodeMod

Dose this work on Xcode 4.3

  • After about 15 minutes of watching the thing on the website, (HowToMakeMobileAppcom) I got the sudden thought that something was going to pop-up and scare me. It was so boring and I thought this would be the perfect time to scare a bored mothafucka like me gazing into his black and red letters and listening to his mono-toned voice. Haha

  • My face when he just watched a different tut, and made his own

  • Can I make something like this with Windows XP?

  • How did you learn this?

  • hello, the picture that you've on your background, where did you find that picture?

  • DAMN SMART KIDS

  • how did you learn all this stuff!?!?

  • Wow nice vid looks rly complecated but cool

  • hey man love the vid, you seem to have a great grasp of app development :) im in 4th year of a business degree as part of it we have to create a business i was thinking of an app but heres the thing i have no idea on how to make one. Be honest how hard would it be to make an app with text input like writing a letter and attatching an address ? thanks, Mark

  • genius bitch! i'm just a jealous fagget lol

  • What language is this?

  • @DogukanSivas no, you cant run it on Windows, just like you cant run VIsual studio on Mac OSX, thats how nature works

  • Omg I need your help, person who made this video. I'm a music major in college and need extra help studying, but there are no apps out there that will help me. Please please please message me because I really need help creating an app to meet my needs! I could always not use an iPhone app, but as I'm at school 3 or 4 hrs earlier than need be to get a parking space, I have nothing else to use but my iPhone. Please help me?

  • uh this looks so hard..

  • what a operation system you are use

  • windows?

  • @pawelweb Mac ?

  • You made a comment, now clap!

  • How did you get the interface builder icon into your dock?

  • @MrSteveKansa in Xcode 3 it was a separate application, now with Xcode 4 its all build it

    thats how

  • Awesome vid!!

  • Say if I wanted to create an app that is very much more high tech than this how could I learn how to do such a thing?

  • @cheesynounou this is a basic app, it teaches you the fundamental skills needed to make more high-tech apps

this is what they call hello world apps, they do just that, you learn how to use Xcode and how the language lingo is

  • @XcodeMod So is this what everyone uses to make apps then?

  • Howcome, I cannot insert a label after I gave my window a color? I can't see where that part of interface builder is at? Any help?

  • yeah i would have to have patience for this I make stupid mistakes such as forgetting to put a semi colon and wind up having to look through entire code for that one little mistake

  • That's great and all, but will it blend?

  • @olizelda after you put you mac in a very big blender, then it will blend :-)

  • I have one problem: when I click on connections, there is no connection that's labled, "buttonTapped"

  • is it a free downloading software?

  • @MakingMasterMoney yes, in lion it is free

  • Would some decent knowledge in another language help me? I'm pretty decent in Java...

  • @yeahboy994 java is OOP to, so yeah, its the same process, create (sub)classes, use them in a bigger set of other classes and produce an app behavior

  • can you put different

  • GOOD JOB!

  • This is a great tutorial, I really can't wait to try this.

  • Keep it up kid

  • This is a KID...

  • @Chikincows i think so

  • @Chikincows A kid that got 676,458 views 1,358 likes and 191 trolls.

  • It is cool but you are build it with codes so it is kinda difficult to understand.

  • is it me or is the programming language Java?

  • @06k20z1 noo, its Objecive-C, very different then java, believe me

  • @XcodeMod Objective-c is like java for mac. if you know java you can learn objective-c very quickly

  • Back in the day Made a HyperCard movie......it took up a whole 1.5 mb floppy

  • Someone make an app that lets you edit YouTube videos before published

  • I tried to do all the things you said in the video, used all the same coding; but when i get to the end and click the 'Tap' Button, it doesn't change the "Hello iPhone" wording ...

  • Great tutorial! :)

  • hmm

  • Kid, a lot of ppl are gonna hate on you for this and i don't know if you're a socially awkward nerd (i assume you are) but seriously, stick at this. You'll thank yourself in 10 years time when skanks are sucking your dick because you have a lot of money.

  • Am I the only one who looks really freaked by this...? Im scared xD

  • is this xcode 3 or 4?

  • I love how this kid knows what he's talking about. He's the 2%

  • Ok this tells me nothing how a beginner should make an app!!!

  • ur so right

  • Lol he sounds like jaden smith!

  • n vraagje is dat meisje opgegeten?

  • Your not paying for the program, just the "secrets", just google ipod app developer program, look for developer.apple link. its completely free

  • This seems so much easier than on Windows.... I've been working for weeks on a simple slideshow app with C++ and Photoshop. After I make some money from a job, I need to seriously buy myself a mac.... I wish Apple could help us PC users as well. I have tons of apple products, just not a computer from them....

  • @Iphone3gtoon114laff DONT BUY AN APPLE COMPUTER!!

USE HACKINTOSH AND MAKE YOUR OWN!!!

  • Did you pay those 99 dollars to get the programs?

  • I am looking to higher some developers that would like to build apps for money.. Do you know any?

  • Do we need a mac for this?

  • @heatherchung1988 yes, or hackintosh

  • please tell me that this site isn't fake!!!

  • hi. thanks for the video but i have a question, where i can find the "resources" folder!? my Xcode version is 4.2.1

  • WHATS GOING ON T-T

  • woooo slow dowwnnnn. Good helpful video man, but can you make another vid a bit slower and with the new updated of xcode? Got a bit confused with it all. Cheers!

  • You should have explained what you were doing more and you went a little bit too fast. I know C++ and java so I understood the code, but beginners would need more explanation. Good video though ;)

  • @iFinitize C++ right? Could you show me some of your work? I'm using it as well, but it's tough when you just jump right into it with no prior experience.

  • Thanks brah If I want to make a game similar to froggy jump is it possible to do so with this program if not what program?.

  • do you need software like photoshop or fireworks when making an app or can you design it with xcode?

  • Where can i learn how to programming?

  • Dude, Xcode is only for Mac? Good video

  • Jesus Christ who thinks this kid will be ritch in the Future ;D

  • Holy Crap that kid is smart!!!!

  • Can you make more in depth games like how epic made infinity blade. Could oneself with much time make a game of that caliber without being a part of a high budget team?

  • @Blkjackben Im guessing you cant do infinity blade withou a lot of time and money.

  • HOW DO U LOOK AT X -Code Applications

  • Too much work, Visual Studio 2010 w/ WDT is way more better, Windows Phone FTW.

  • @xRobG "Way more better"?

  • This is good, but I'm really confused with all that coding.

  • @Xcodmod thanks do you mean to join the apple developer program and pretended to be part of a company

  • What is the software for creating the apps? Really well explained. Thanks a lot.

  • i think hello dickheads and hello you dick

  • @Pokemoncrossin you can find a cheap Mac at eBay, yes you can put any app you make on an iPod touch

You have 2 ways, 1) follow my steps on fake codesigning your app (For uploading to cydia) or 2) you can sing up as an official Apple developer (For uploading to the official Appstore)

Xcode is free For developers at developer.apple.com

Or For non-developers its $4.99 at the Mac Appstore, updates are free

  • Do u have to join this program to get this dashcode

  • I'm 10 and in my family I'm seem as the computer wiz. But then I look at people like you and I'm nowhere near you. Do you know were to get cheap mac? How do u get Xcode and stuff? Can I get it on my iPod touch?

  • How do u know to add all the colons n stuff?!?

  • @TheGarrysmodHelper you get it within Xcode

Its build in to Xcode now

  • where do you get the interface builder plz reply

  • @Bmn04 nope, this one is For Mac only

  • @XcodeMod How old are you?

  • Does it work on Windows 7 ??

  • You should explain why you are putting the code in certain spots and what it means to put it there as opposed to another location in your project. It would help newer users such as myself.

  • Well done, Well done, Well done for your age you are genious

  • does this work in windows?

  • if i tapped the tap button, it doenst work and te app closed?

    help!

    thanks, bye

  • U r one smart kid :) !! Thumbs up

  • I'm 22 years old,and I didn't understand anything LOL

  • Awesome video, this helped a lot :)

  • Wow you is a smart kid,

My head just fell off :)

  • @XcodeMod I don't have the Mac keyboard and I was wondering what replaces the 'Ctrl' key so that I can Copy and Paste easier. Thanks in advance.

  • Comment removed

  • BRO Can you do a series on this all the way from the beginning? It would be really helpful!

    Thanks!

  • DON'T DO THAT GO TO BUZZTOUCH OR APPBREEZE OR IBUILDAPP!!!!

SERIOUSLY EASYER! THAT WAY IS HARD! I MEAN HARD!!!!

  • @RWAVideosOnline try building an app with some original stuff in it with those sites, they create apps that are pre-coded, so any original idea, is not possible with them

DONT USE THEM, just write your own code, its easier then you think and its more fun to call it your own code

those sites may be easy, but they can't compare to REAL coding

if you can make me an OpenGL ES app with those sites, then you should send it to me

  • how did you learn all of this code

  • @100seanman apple has an amazing collection of easy to understand documentation, try to read them, they are free to download at developer.apple.com

  • @XcodeMod where exaclty could i find those documents?? theoretically could i create this app with no experience??

  • @MegaRhinoHorn

Flash runs on every Mac, just not on the iOS devices, and YouTube runs just fine on my iPhone and iPad

I Can watch YouTube in safari on iPhone/iPad just like on desktop

Video's load even faster on iPad then on any other device i saw

  • You have a mac how did u upload this to youtube. youtube uses flash and flash doesn't run on any mac.

  • @MegaRhinoHorn only apple ipads

  • God this kid is smart !

  • Quick question, i have a Mac, and I was wondering what screen recorder you were using.

  • @xcodemod what are you recording with? and is there anyway possible to make a app using windows pc's?

  • i have this idea for a great game but have 0% no knowledge about creating one

  • @bda617 You need to know the type of game you want and work toward learning that language. It isn't really difficult but it takes time... you really need to have patience and drive to teach yourself.

  • @qwerasdfr1Ill send you a pm with details on sending me your project

Then Ill look at whats wrong

    Deal ?

  • file://localhost/Users/sindre_aatland/Documents/Xcode/hello%20Iphone/hello%20Iphone/HelloWorldAppDelegate.m: warning: Semantic Issue: Incomplete implementation

Mine just say that i have an "Incomplete implementation" in the end of the line "@implementation HelloWorldAppDelegate;" what do i do??

  • How do you know all this!?! lol

  • uhhhhhhhhhhhh getting mac is down the road you know how god dam far it is? WELL DO YOU??!!!!? i bet you dont =.=

  • I Think i have been searching for " How to create apps " not " Fags creating apps "

  • thimbs up if you clapped

  • @nhussein31 use single-view

  • so to let you guys know this isn't free and you have to buy the application.

  • @CuboidGalaxy its $4.99, thats as always with mac, the full dev package, iOS, Mac OSX, Mobile websites.... much more

  • aww. It cost money.

  • CONFUSING

  • Wow so confusing... Man

  • Hey there

I just bought me a mini-mac and want to learn how to build an iPhone app. First off, where is the Xcode software? Do I have to pay for this?

  • to @samzabeast666 yes, and to @buckmajor you need to have a Apple Developer account it cost $99 per year.

  • @CydiaAddict Thanks. I managed to download the free one from Apple not sure if this is the $99 xcode software.

Is it better to pay $99 once you've built your app first? It make sense (i think). I'm not sure where to start e.g. planning, design and development?

  • @buckmajor yep, if you downloaded Xcode, then you are good to go

and indeed, its better to learn how to develop first before you pay the $99, usually it takes someone from 3 months up to 2 years to learn the actual development language

so indeed, try to work with it, and when you have some ideas and some experience, then buy a developer account

  • @XcodeMod Excellent! I'm starting from scratch so I have a feeling it could take me 2yrs :D. I'm gonna try your tutorial app and post back with some results.

Thanks again and Merry Xmas :)

  • @buckmajor Xcode is free and I would advise to make a/some apps before you buy a dev account so you can get the most out of your account.

  • Can you design and validate applications by designing applications on Mac IOS using VMware on a windows PC. what is required to validate applications?

  • @azzzwebb its possible, but then make sure you get Lion, iOS SDK 5.1 is Lion only

  • cool

  • Do you need to be a developer to make an IOS app?

  • There is a lot of stuff that happens when you draw that blue line and it is really difficult to see that part. I had to re-watch it about 8 times to figure out what you were doing. That being said this is the best iPhone app tutorial I've found on youtube so far. Good work.

  • i cant find the resources folder o.0?

  • @johnedwards1968 you never had a Mac, do you ?

I admit, back in the days Mac was waaaay to expensive, thats true

But now these days, Mac really isnt

You have to count in every cost

How much does anti-virus cost these days ?

    $50 per year ?

And that doesnt include anti-phishing and firewalls

    Thats ALL history with Mac

I never bought that since the day i switched to Mac

  • @XcodeMod

Agreed... plus you won't be replacing parts 2 years like with PCs ... and Macs actually retain a resale value. I have a 4 year old iMac that I'm considering selling because I still see them on ebay and other sites for over 600 bucks. Whens the last time I had a 4 year old PC that was worth more than 50 bucks? Never. Plus like you said, no antivirus firewall issues. Once you do the math, you realize PC is way more costly. Who knows what the future for Mac holds, though..

  • @XcodeMod

Funny part is that you're so brainwashed that you think mac isn't expensive lol. For all the people that want macs, go buy yourselves a $800 PC and make it a hackintosh, you just saved $2000 lol, I have 2 laptops and my wife's PC all running OSX perfectly. I have my Sony Vaio laptop I bought in 2007 running Snow Leopard and I DJ with it.

  • @mackjeez $2800 WTF, dude, for that money you have a 8 Core mac

seriously, no indie buys that to start with

$and your $800 laptop theory , its not correct

for $800 you have a legit mac mini, without the risk that comes with that hackintosh stuff

and believe me, do not try to update your computer to Lion.... and iOS SDK 5.1 requires Lion

i might be brainwashed, but you are to, that windows pc are cheaper.... $2800 for the cheapest mac.... WTF

  • @XcodeMod

1: A 17 inch macbook pro with the same specs of a $800 (i7 2670, 8GB ram, 17" hd screen) laptop is around 2999.99 without taxes and crappy video card, go the apple store and check for yourself.

2: There is no risk in making a hackintosh, I can update, install applications just like a regular mac(running ableton, rme 400 firewire soundcard, traktor 2 pro scratch, adobe full suite)

3: My PC is running Lion OSX (iATKOS L2) .

4: Please make sure to do your homework next time,

  • @mackjeez

look, before you start your lying, lets make one thing clear, i used to be a windows user

i know it hurts when you want something like a mac, specially when the time (financial crisis) is not optimal

but thats not a reason for making people believe you can run mac OSX on some crappy hardware

    you might have high specs

but when they are not mac compatible its just not gonna work, and judging on the price you said, its not gonna run

show me your pc running Lion, and then ill believe you

  • @XcodeMod

I use OSX not Windows, my PC is a i7 2600k with a P8Z68-pro motherboard and 16 gb of ddr 3 ram and I payed 1k for it, my sony vaio laptop from 2007 is a core 2 duo 4gb laptop that runs snow leopard perfectly , my wife's 1 year laptop is a i5 first gen with 4gb of ram also runs snow leopard. I'll make a video if you want of my pc running lion but what do I get in return? How about a video of you stating that mac buyers are losers including yourself, how about it? You in?

  • @mackjeez what can you get from it ?, you can show I'm wrong, ill even put your video as a favorite

and also, if you show me wrong then ill even admit here and on your video that i was wrong

but for as long as i didn't see the video, i stay with the version most people state, Lion can't run on a windows-based pc
