Dusty literally could sing any type of song with a conviction that exuded confidence. How many singers could pull off such an amazing range of material? It is a tribute to her immense talent

These performances from her TV show are wonderful. It's easy to say this is when she was at her peak, but let's not forget her spectacular comeback in the '80s with Pet Shop Boys, "What Have I Done to Deserve This" and her solo hits that followed ~ "Nothing Has Been Proved", "In Private", and "Reputation".

I think Dusty more than proves that old saying to be true....'It's the singer not the song'..... listen to her sing...'Auf Dich Nur Wart' Ich Immerzu and.... Warten und Hoffen, 'I only want to be with you' and 'Wishing and Hoping', even if you don't understand German her voice is captivating. Dusty didn't venture that often into the show business song-arena; but when she did, it made you wonder why she didn't do it more often. She handles this song with such seeming effortlessness, yet it's also apparent this is a song that is not easy to pull off well. She was indeed the blue-eyed Queen of Soul in Britain, but could have just as readily captured the show biz market as well.
