I don't think the head rests on the lap but rather on the head and arms right? It looks very very good! You really get the fingers in to the neck muscles. Must be very relaxing.
This music comes off a blank CD that a client gave to me and so I don't know who it is.
My execution of massage is quite different as I am quite a different therapist. Yea! Please read the other postings above for an explanation of the technique.
@MGDIABLO1@VitalityMassage The name of the song is "Coinleach Glas And Fhomhair" by Clannad. I had to record the song and run it through AudioTag to figure it out.
@TheGameHippo I wanted to see what a "Game Hippo" looked like but when I went to your site there was no picture of you. Please post one. Enquiring minds want to know!
Therapists: Try my technique! Set a stool on the floor at the end of the table and place your feet on the stool. (The table height/stool height has to be set just right). Have the client slide back with shoulders off the end of the table...not too far...about four inches with their head on your lap. Now get in there and work those tight muscles and knots out. After you're done do their ears. Then step off the stool and rotate and tilt the head to loosen it all up. Melted client...
Perhaps you're right. I dunno. I've never had that done. I personally just wouldn't want my head in a man's lap like that, but if I could get past that, I'm sure I'd love it.
Hmmm, this is the first time I'm seeing this off the table neck work. From the client's perspective it doesn't look like it would feel comfortable. My head wouldn't feel secure. As a woman, I wouldn't like my head in a man's lap either. I'm just being honest.
I do what works. I don't expect to please everyone or to undergo a sex change. I do seek to help people to heal. I have done neck work with the client fully on the table...like most therapists. It's not even close to being as good as off the end. Off the table, the access to muscles is awesome. The ability to rotate, tilt and flex the neck and shoulder muscles is unsurpassed. I had a very busy week. My neck work is part of my success and many referrals.

I was guessing someone related to Enya for the music. I was almost sure it was gaelic when i heard it. Good choice!

No offense, but I would be terrified to let you massage me. You have on that apron like Leatherface.
