  • Religion, the answer to a question I never asked.

  • Religion,

  • Brilliant video.

  • love it lots totally brilliant

  • i don't understand..if you don't believe in any religion whats ur purpose in life, how do u make sense of this life?? what do you have guiding your existence?? without any form of religion, life is absolutely meaningless..and without a belief in an afterlife, this life simply amounts to unsatisfying jobs, bills, a false sense of happiness from drinking, shopping, tv, and movies, then thats its your dead..doesn't one begin to ask himself such questions??

  • Why do you think your life has a purpose? it's what you decide to make it.

Why do you need a guide? you have a body and a brain. Make use of them, you can think, just do it.

Enjoy your life or it will be over before you have even begun.

You sound like a mewling baby - grow up.

  • a mewling baby?? i am simply trying to gain insight as to what atheists make of this life as opposed to ppl that do believe in a god and/or follow a religion..whats this with atheists always being on the defensive?? and seriously every word out of your mouth is so contrite and generic, enjoy your life, life is what you make it, if this is the belief system of atheists then thats pretty pathetic.. i just hope you guys are as happy not believing in a religion as i am from believing in religion..

  • @starryeyed830 How do you make the statement "enjoy your life, life is what you make it, if this is the belief system of atheists then thats pretty pathetic" and "i just hope you guys are as happy not believing in a religion as i am from believing in religion" match? Decry our seeking happiness in life as pathetic, while stating that religion brings your life happiness, and you hope we have the same. That's some serious cognitive dissonance you're ignoring. Aren't you seeking to enjoy your life?

  • @starryeyed830 We are find meaning in our life where we choose. Just like you. You chose a religion to define your meaning of life, thus you find meaning in your life from religion. We don't. We find meaning in our own individual ways. I personally find mine in friends, family, education and science, and various personal hobbies and entertainment. I simply don't feel a need to attribute any of that to supernatural phenomena. I'm capable of enough emotional depth to impart meaning to what I wish.

  • @GermanChocolateCake Err..."We find meaning" edit...somehow that "are" snuck in.

  • @godfree4me I'll take that a step further. What the religious often fail to recognize is that when they made a choice of religion, and decided to define their lives by it, they were defining the meaning of their lives for themselves. I think they sometimes lose sight of that because soon after making that choice, they are encouraged to believe that they were instead CHOSEN and that someone else (i.e. god(s)) is defining their life meaning for them.

    It's a perverse kind of mental shell-game.

  • I have to agree, but that's because, for the spiritually and emotionally weak people, if without any form of religion, life is absolutely meaningless.

  • lol, hillarious

  • Thanks - Hope it gets lots of Views
