I dont understand greek but i love GREECE and i was wrong about thinking that Petrovic was a better player than Galis. After analizing there game i change my mind. I forgot that Petrovic was in a great team and he have the advantage of his teamates and Galis take his team on his back and alone he with a lot of HEART leaded GREECE to GLORY. GALIS WAS THE BEST.

Yea, my friend you told me that sad story. Maby they didnt face reality, even when Galis was getting old he still one of the best players of Europe. They let the best talent in europe go and i think they regret that mistake. Galis teach european players how to played real fundamental basketball, he teached them how to use logic of the game and how to used the resourses of the game. Galis was a MASTER a LEADER. I calll him GALIS THE GREAT.

Τεράστιος, μέγας, γίγαντας!!! Δεν υπάρχουν λόγια να τον περιγράψουν. Νικούσε ομάδες μόνος του. Με αυτόν μεγαλώσαμε. Ήταν το ίνδαλμα μας. Αυτός μας έκαμε να ασχοληθούμε με το μπάσκετ. Αυτόν βλέπαμε και προσπαθούσαμε να μιμηθούμε τις κινήσεις τους. Αυτός έκαμε (μαζί με τα άλλα θηρία Γιαννάκη, Φασούλα, Χριστοδούλου, κλπ) την Ελλάδα για πρώτη φορά περήφανη μετά από κάμποσα χρόνια φαγούρας, κατακτώντας το Ευρωμπάσκετ το 87.

For those who wrote that Galis sucks!:Think of an imaginery player that is 6'feet tall, shooting amazing baskets,unbelievable hangtime,unstopable driver,60 to 65 % field goal shooter(!),unbeaten at one on one at either set or fastbreak situation,most times 1st in asts per game and finally scoring for most of his carrer an avg of 40 points at any level he played(World Championships, Euroleague etc..)Well you don't have to imagine him, that was Nikos Galis!!
