Wow, she's a great singer and her Russian is good.

I've just read an article about that movie. A 1943 Chinese-Japanese film with actors speaking Russian and singing old romance songs... I never thought that was possible. But, 私の鶯 in Russian is Мой соловей, not Мой кустика:)

Her music teacher was from Ukraine, so I guess she had learned Russian from her. Besides her good friend in China was Russian.

She was a mega-star in wartime China. At the time nobody aware of her complex background, and thought she is Chinese.

I've read books about her and bought three CDs in Japan. But I didn't realise how talented she was until I saw these clips on YouTube today! No wonder why she is famous.
