fun match, one queston though...what would you do if ur spearin and u just got dragooned by a sword...u cant hit them when they hit the ground and by the time u can hit them again theyve got another 2/3 hits on you.
i don't do melee personally, but i would think either an 'uppercut', or do a hop/counter-strike for that. either that, or try to re-position before the ground strike, but then you have given up the initiative...
i dunno, one of you melee pros want to answer this?
Being such a small community, a small melee user base you can have a feel for most people's "styles" although the differences are generally minute in people's play style.
Anyways, I mostly use a sword, I'm decent with it I'd say, and if I'm above a spear user, if he doesn't uppercut me out of the sky (When I see someone boosting up, I'm dragooning them immediately) He's about to eat 2-3 hits if he doesn't do a quick back boost and try to fake out.
Lol at people thinking Hex777 was actually lagging, been in game with him can hit him fine, he spike sometimes yes, but nothing big.
Zode always cries about something when he's getting his salad tossed, when he was losing to turtle he said he was lagging (85-100 ping is clearly a lagger).

But... you can hit them after they goon you, thats how I take out Bladers, I make them miss, while I dont due to differences in hitboxes. (Noobpwner)
