Videogames have only been 'big' in the last decade. Now, the current generations of kids will just as likely play a game as something traditional like football. These current kids and youths are future adults, so e-sports is definitely here to stay in the next few decades as the new generation comes past this cultural barrier.

E-sports only took off in Korea because companies like SK Telecom/Sumsung/KT etc invested in it. Google should do the same in the US.
