Just buy "For the Love of Strange Medicine" and compare it to his earlier works. It should be obvious that he kept growing as an artist.

Hell, listen to "Missing You" and then listen to "Open Arms" and you'll see they're both amazing quality, but Missing You is more advanced.

Coming from a Musical Point of View, Pineda is the closest to Perry than any other singer. Closing your eyes and listening to the music I can barely tell the difference and sometimes I can't. And when you look at all the other bands that the "Zoo" covered you realize that Arnel has a range better than Perry. He can hit more Octaves and pretty much Mimic any Vocalists that he wishes. Ok I said my part on that, but does anyone know if Perry has commented on Arnel yet?

Actually Steve Perry is a countertenor like Freddie Mercury from Queen. He never goes flat, in fact sometimes sharp. If you watch Arnel Pineda with The Zoo sing Boston's More Than A feeling he cannot hit the notes. Live, Arnel goes flat a lot too. This version is good because it is recorded. So Steve owns him on octaves. But Arnel is still amazing! But sorry he is no Steve Perry!

Also, on 2:32 if any honest Phillipino listens to the original, Perry goes higher "sing the blues". I know what I hear.
