regional code is violation of fair competition of prises. its an atempt to control the consumer choise by producting flawed product. its like if i am rich and i went to wallmart and bouth milk there, i whuld not be alowed to drink it bechsoe i am too rich. instead i whuld have to go some expensive food store and by the same product much higer prise. its violation of consumer rights.

Arik probably couldn't say it, for fear of Hollywood's wrath but you can run software or have your computer modified so that it will play discs from any region, forever without any problems. That's what I've done on both PC & Mac. I live in Region 2 and some films/versions are never released in my region. Should I be prevented from watching them? This is an attempt by some parts of the industry to control the market & consumer choice because not every company enforces regions on their DVD's.
same thing with videogames its just bullshit that you want play games that are only released in japan and you buy them from internet only to find out that you console wont play them. what are they thinking
@supernatdan04 Maybe this reply comes pretty late and you already know how, but there's program called DVD43 that allows you to play dvd's from every region.
Only buy multi region players I had a Sony DVD player which was set for region 4,
it would not play any other region, and some original region 4 discs made by Sony, what a sick Joke regional coding is.
