@Dewani90 The reason you never got to play Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake or as you say mgs2 is because it wasn't on the SNES or the NES for that matter, It was on the MSX Home Computer. The Metal Gear and sequel Snake's Revenge on NES are completely separate games from the MSX versions they are based off of, made by Konami's western branch Ultra. They are considered non-canon by Kojima himself. This song is from Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake on MSX.

Also the character's portraits have been redesigned to look more like the current appearances of the characters. Still, that's good I guess, but I preferred the original ones, based on actors, with Big Boss actually looking like Sean Connery!
The NES game is a port of the first MG game made in Japan, followed by Snakes Revenge (Sequel). Japan made a sequel to the original, MG2 Solid Snake. Then came Metal Gear Solid on PSX which is the one we all know. The point I have been making (Aimed at a guy asking why the music had a old bit-like quality) is that it's likely a reference or remake to an older game. I simply said it's likely to be from the NES, which was (yes, I said first, but not officially) metal gear games.

Solid snake ain't your "generic" spy there is alot more to his backstory then him in his infiltrating moments. The reason they chose Solid Snake over Turok is because Solid snake is a much older and classic Nintendo/MSX licensed character than Turok....in fact Turok was LGN's ONLY good game series. -_-

Yes it was made by konami, but thats a development party for SEVERAL different gaming systems, both MSX and Nintendo. Did the Nintendo version suck? yeah it did because metal gear wasn't in it (MSX version was better) but whats funny it STILL got tops ratings in the US even though metal gear wasn't in NES version :)

Solid snake ain't your "generic" spy there is alot more to his backstory then him in his infiltrating moments. The reason they chose Solid Snake over Turok is because Solid snake is a much older and classic Nintendo/MSX licensed character than Turok....in fact Turok was LGN's ONLY good game series. -_-

Yes it was made by konami, but thats a development party for SEVERAL different gaming systems, both MSX and Nintendo. Did the Nintendo version suck? yeah it did because metal gear wasn't in it (MSX version was better) but whats funny it STILL got tops ratings in the US even though metal gear wasn't in NES version :)
That alone tells you its good lol

@doug8798 Actually, he was also in a Metal Gear Solid game on the GameCube, as well. I can't remember what it's called. However, I don't think Metal Gear Solid is boring, I just never play it. I kinda like it, though. Turok I've played before, but I don't really have an oppinion on it. However, Snake was also very popular. However, please, don't think you know why someone is in some collab game, because noone, including myself, knows what goes on in a developer's head when they put him in.

@doug8798 It's to please the fanbases. Have you ever heard of the term fanservice? It's to please the fans with music, cameo, or playable characters. And besides I at least played the remake of MGS you on the hand haven't due you being butthurt by Xam. The reasons why Snake is in Brawl is because the creator of the series is friends with Shigeru Miyamoto the creator of Mario and the Metal Gear Solid series is very popular. And I highly doubt that anyone in Japan knows of Turok.

First off... it came out on the MSX port. and while NES port was the crappy one. And we already know about Snakes revenge and we don't consider it the true sequel since hideo kojima had nothing to do with it. Metal gear 2 solid snake is the true sequel. but just because the NES port was horrible is no excuse for him not to be in brawl. And only that.....but he also stared in TWIN SNAKES which was on the Gamecube. Nintendo asked hideo kojima to use him.
