My bro is Navy. Father & Uncle were Navy. My *grandfather* was Army. He died from service in *Afghanistan*.

I had family at *Waterloo* fighting *against* each other. "French" vs "English".

Most don't have to look far back to find military and conflict in their family.

Just a sad fact of human history.

Really we all live in a tiny fragile blue/green boat hurtling through a vast black void.

One day we need to put down our sticks and stones and flags.

Spent my first six months in Vietnam with Wayne in the 2nd Platoon, Echo Co., 2nd Battalion/1st Marines. Wayne became and remains a friend. He was and is the kind man I want in any leadership position.
