was lucky enough to see her perform in Toronto...turned out to be her last performance ever...amazing voice

  • I now receive a message saying there was a mistake in the title.

  • Awesome!! love itttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!

much love form holland and special greetings to al my west indian people Big up suriname, trinidad gyuana

One love blessings to you all!!!

  • SAD when you had to go in 2004

  • The name of this song is "hum na jaibe", but she's saying 'apna jaibe'....=S

  • The original's better too.....just sayin

  • So you're trying to say she doesn't know her own song? I beg to differ. the song's name is AB NA JAIBE. Hum Na Jaibe is a totally different song. Whoever posted this needs to make the necessary corrections.

  • Oh that's not what I'm trying to imply at all. I was just saying. I love Babla & Kanchan.

It's not originally her song though.

  • It is her song. Hum Na Jaibe=Sundar Popo. Ab Na Jaibe=Kanchan. You've got your Jaibe's all mixed up lol.

  • Aha!!

    There we go! lol

But yeah, Hum Na Jaibe is originally from a film called Ghar Dwaar. When I meant "original", that's the one I was talking about.

Glad we got that clarified though. lol

  • @ShutYuhMuddaSkunt LOL HAHAHAHAHA, NAA, SHE SUNG BOTH OF THOSE SONGS, DIS ONE IS NOT HUM NA JAIBE DOHH, ITS AB NA JAIBE

  • @DONKCREOLE08 the original hum na jaibe is sundar popo which kanchan remade. but this particular song is ab na jaibe. story done lol

  • @ShutYuhMuddaSkunt actually, hum na jaibe is originally a bollywood song...but you are right..this song is ab naj jaibe...and not her version of hum na jaibe..the title is wrong indeed

  • @ShutYuhMuddaSkunt

i have to practice for my dance class.

    thanks

  • dis song is easy to find yo lol

  • no it is not.

  • yeah im looking for it too!

  • just luv it, my dad is an indian decendent, from british guyana, my mom italian.... i like very much indian stuf...

  • Indian roots, all you Trini and Guyaneese praise the motherland India. Whites came from europe, slaves came from africa, and indians came from India

  • slaves or Black people who were slaves? i didnt know our new names were slaves. guess we werent ppl too.

  • Indians were slaves too.. so slaves didn't only came from africa..

  • exactly.. indentured labourers... how the british reinvented slavery...

  • correct.. and people think that our conditions, (of the Indians) were much better than that of the Africans.. but it was exactly the same..

  • Its funny because I told my friend this at (high) school and now he says I'm "allowed to use the N-word"

i say yeah, no thanks. People will learn though don't worry about it.

  • Where do you think the word coolie comes from? Black people were called by the N-word during slavery, and Indians were called coolie's. That's why there are also Indians that don't like to be called coolie, because it has the same kind of negative value (as the N-word). It's so strange these days, because people call eachother with such a negative name, and aren't able to say Raam Raam or Namaste.. What I'm trying to say is: don't forget your history out of respect for your elders and ancestors.

  • I never knew what coolie meant because i never bothered to use it.

  • In Guyana they call themselves "coolies" I was supprise when I heard that because in Trinidad it is taken as something negative.

  • I remember those days back in Trinidad, going over by family and friends and partying as a kid with my parents... good times, good food, good memories..

  • this song is not huma na jaibe its apna jaibe they have two versions but this ones aswome too

  • 1 of the best songs ever. parents grew up listenin. My parents grew up listening to her and always played their music when i was youung. RIP Kanchan

  • WOW!! I never imagined finding this song ever again, specially not from Babla and Kanchan. I remember my mom sang this song in her band, so this brings back golden memories..

  • i love the drums and damm she can sing the music they made will live a long long time
