  • I learned to not even read the reviews from gaming sites. All the games I played that you recommended were great, I might have to get this one too. :)

  • I'm a big fan of old school survival horror games and am longing for better games to boost the genre. But this game simply isn't one. It's awful.

  • Also I think the idea of trophy hunting brings in a lot of people that aren't sticking to their kind of games. As a survival horror game, it's obviously going to be very different then from what a casual gamer thinks about it, due to the trophies, they'll check it out, not understand it and ultimately not like it. Definitely right, it takes a certain crowd to enjoy this game fully. Does not deserve the bad reviews it got at all. I hope there is more AMY to come.

  • You actually gave a good review of the game, I thought it was a very good game, it put me in the mood for old school survival horror, specifically Fatal Frame. But you actually have a review, instead of "this game sucks, it was hard, I was frustrated", so props for saying it how it is. Hard was about the same as normal, especially once you figure everything out, it's not that bad. I love survival horror and this game delivered, it even reminded me a bit of siren, original siren.

  • I played the first couple of chapters and didn't like it so I'll point out some things that annoyed me. How long was the woman knocked out in the train? Society collapsed very quickly. How did Amy get into the bathroom with all the crates in the doorway? The climbing down a ladder animation is painfully slow.

I'm happy to see a positive review though. I make up my own mind about games and I'm glad you do too.

  • Oh goodness I love your personality! I agree totally with your review! I do feel that AMY deserves a better score. And you're a Siren fan! Have you play Forbidden Siren: Blood Curse on the PS3?

  • ''Bitey individuals...'' LOL

    Awesome review by the way!

  • Great review! =) i was interested in this game before release. I bought it and right now I'm at chapter 3. and i really enjoy it!

  • I very much agree with your take on this game. I've played it through 3 times (all difficulties) and would just like to add that the weapons only break easily on Normal. Hard they are only a little worse than easy (in terms of number of hits to when it breaks). and in my opinion, the game felt like it was meant to be a full retail game that was cut down, the fact that you only get 2 powers on a wheel that allows for 8, is one of my big reasons for saying that. But a good game over all.

  • @BioHRay I totally agree with you on the power wheel. Why have so many empty space on wheel? It doesn't make sense.

  • Well, judging from your review I would say it's another case of low scores given by misguided reviewers who cherish the "current get" pussification of games (no offence, you know what I mean). They would rather play another CoD-ish game in which you just have to go toward the flashing icon and shoot everything that isn't you.

I'll give this game a go, even if only to see who was right ;]

  • Oh, my god, girl, you are CUTE! With a capital C, U, T, E!

  • The game trips up right at the start because its just not scary - or creepy in anyway. Zombies have been done to death/ much better than this.

And amy WOULD NOT follow me and usually just wandered off. Unless i was holding her hand.

Escort missions are just not fun unless its handled right. And here it just didnt do it right. At least in resi 4 ashley followed you and kept out of the goddamn way when fighting.

  • This is funny, everyone else complains about the combat. I guess people just have diffirent views. Hmm...

  • Thanks for the review, you have made me interested in the game, I just hope it will see a PC release. In my opinion a large part of what makes horror games horror is the sense of helplessness that comes with not knowing how long your weapon will last, very limited resources and the fact that dying actually means something (not just jumping back to the last checkpoint, which was 2min ago).

  • Thank you so much for this review. I was on the fence with this title but you pushed me over the edge and will be giving this a try. By the way I appreciate your vlogs for they are actually intelligent which is fantastic even though its against the trend of most gaming vlogs but a breath of fresh air so glad I found your channel. P.S. Have you ever played the Fatal Frame franchise? Would love to see a video from you on them...? =)

  • so weird ... this is the 3rd time this week I've heard this game mentioned - you, a guy who put up a vid here last week, then in our local newspaper, reviewing the game. Oh gosh I hate the English grammar thing in games!!

  • Love your review for many things. The first of course is the fact that you show your passion for the things you talking about! But lets be honest! I love this video so much because you choose the song "Room of Angel", which is (in my opinion) one of the best themes i've ever heard^^!

so keep up your passion for video gaming an of course your good taste of music xD!

    so long

    WontSleep

  • I've heard of this game not so long ago. It looked promising. Good concept, some refreshing characters (not another one man army). And ka-boom. Most reviews oscillates around 2. But Your review lit a lite at the end of the tunnel. I'd like to try this game and give it a chance. Unfortunately I own only a PC so I have to wait some more time. Unless, after bashing the game received, devs will abandon idea to release it on PC. Let's hope not.

  • BTW Great review. I'm glad there still are people for whom graphics isn't the most important feature of game. Ok 'nuff said. Going to watch Your Beyond Good and Evil video and back to work :) Oh and +1 sub. Regards from Poland. (God how cold we have here :))

  • KNOW WHO YOU LOOK LIKE?!

SEARCH: "The Six: Christmas Movies You Live Through"

  • Another great review, I may have to buy this eventually. :-)

  • I think you would like metro 2033

  • you are an art student right? then have a look at the "cvg" website for the topic on "is video games art? and tell us what you think, or maybe do a video of is video game art?

    It's an interesting read anyway.

  • Once again Meg, a nice refreshing review :) To be honest, I have never even heard of this game coming out and was surprised when you said some reviewers were giving it 1/2 out of 10. It does look like a brilliant over looked game. We need more reviewers like you, not only online but in magazines and websites too. At least you give games a chance and look for the positivity in every single one you review :) Keep up the good work Meg!

  • You made me want to purchase this game. Thank you, i totally agree with you. I miss the old survival horrors.

  • Hmm, you have to think about what to do before you do it, it's challenging, has very little save points and the animation has excellent detail. Demon's Souls/Dark Souls.. PLAY :) I know it's not exactly a horror, but who doesn't love medieval period and dragons?

  • @Kawaiiprincess01 lol ok ok I dont mind watching it like this I guess!! =) x

  • you used Silent Hill music as a background for the review. Nice idea

  • *Sheds manly tear* Your channel grew up sooo fast

  • Aiko.

    Great Review.

    Thank you.

  • Fantastic review! This game really does look like a modern "classic" survival horror. I can understand why many people didn't like it though. There is too much hand holding in games these days (no pun intended) and if there aren't any hints or coloured arrows pointing the way then a lot of people give up. Maybe the developers of 'Amy' could have given players about what level of guidance they were given. Or maybe easy level had some assistance as you did mention that you'd only played on normal.

  • You've cleared up and explained a lot of the concerns and questions I had about this game. I didn't even notice until the video was over that you were talking for 15 minutes, every minute was interesting. Great review!

  • @cherubicwindigo I'm glad I could shed some light on the game :)

Thank you so much for watching and commenting, I'm glad my fifteen minute rant didn't FEEL like a fifteen minute rant lol cause I love to ramble!

    Thanks again :D

  • Great review Meg!

  • @Tonyippee Thanks maytie!!

  • Great review. I was looking forward to this game for months because I myself am a classic survival horror junkie.

  • @kopack02 Here's to being classic survival horror junkies *raises a glass*

Thanks for watching and commenting, I'm glad you enjoyed the review :)

  • Something that really amazes me, is that you actually take the time to talk to your viewers on the comment field. Not many are doing that. Thank you :)

  • @xzbyte2002 It's hard to keep on top of it usually (especially on videos like SH: Downpour and the Heavy Rain Review.) Comments came by pretty slowly on this video, so it was a little easier to keep on top of replies. As soon as I make my next video though I'll have to turn my attentions to the next batch of comments lol but I try!

Thank YOU for taking the time to watch this video and comment :)

  • @Kawaiiprincess01 Always a pleasure to watch someone who are as kind and nice as you :-)

  • Please do a video about SOPA/PIPA since if those bills go through future game reviews will be far more difficult as they contain copyrighted material....

  • @sithummonchat I have shared as much info as I can via my facebook and twitter, I may film a video on it, though I can't really add anything extra besides my own fears and worries - here's to raising awareness!

  • @Kawaiiprincess01 yeah.. I saw your twitter profile with the banner across the front of your logo there.. awesome idea.. I wonder if someone should write an app that takes a picture and puts a banner across the front of it with a message like 'stop SOPA'.. then everyone could easily do this with their profile pics which could also increase awareness...

  • I just discovered your channel. Really great reviews! I'm now driven to checking out some of the games you have reviewed, specifically Deus Ex. cheers

  • @lilAinthamorning Thanks for watching and supporting my channel! I'm glad you enjoy my reviews and I hope you enjoy Deus Ex: Human revolution! :D

  • I sincerely love the silent hill tracks you added in the video. Silent hill is my favorite series because i think the idea of making a town infested and perverted with demon power that projects a persons subconsoius onto the town itself to where each person experinces it differently is just genious. Its a very neat to me to learn the history and meaning behind the enemy design with each character. I just cant explain all this in one comment but thank you so much for room of angel track.yourgreat

  • @vg4life9616 I'm glad you liked them! :D

I would have loved to have purchased the AMY soundtrack so I could use those tracks, but unfortunately I couldn't find it anywhere.

I agree that Silent Hill is one of a kind. That is why the Siren franchise is so good - it's made up of team Silent members!

Thanks for watching, sharing the Silent Hill love and taking the time to comment!

  • @Kawaiiprincess01 Yeah i think the guy who directed and wrote the story for the first game went on to do the siren franchise. I have been dying to get my hands on the first but i just cant find it at my crappy gamestop. I just love a story that is extremely creative and you can see how much effort and thought they put into those games. Team Silent is truly talented and awesome. I hope downpour goes back to the roots and the hd collection has good also because i am saving for both of em.

  • great review as always :)

  • @Tricky0032 Thanks for watching and commenting! :)

  • Dear Meg,

Maybe you should do a video about all the games/films that you would have missed out on if you had of listened to poor reviews?

    Jarmers88

  • @jarmers88 That is a spectacular idea! Thanks for that, I'll be sure to film a quick video regarding that in future :)

    Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • Meg! I really wanna know how you feel, or your first impressions about The Last of Us! please please?? I just wanna know your feelings about the new ND game, thanks :) :)

  • @cablecar830 I'll be talking about it along with a few other trailers and games in my next Trailer Talk video, so stay tuned :D

    Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • great review

  • @a1234567zist Thanks for watching! :D

  • Sound slike a good game to me. Have you played 'Red Seed Profile' i think thats a game you might like to play? Also 'Rule of Rose', classic game!

Is this a download only game or is it available in DVD format too? Cheers for sharing, as I ve never heard of it ;o) x

  • @interghost I have found Rule Of Rose to purchase a few times for extortionate amounts of money, which just kills me. I want my own copy so bad I would sell an vital organ for it lol!

Red Seed Profile is Deadly Premonition right? Quite a few have recommended it to me, but I still haven't had the chance to play it :/

The game can be downloaded on PSN and XBL, thanks for watching and commenting mayte!

  • You made me hungry :-( I really liked the review, and great job on giving a different view than what other mainstream reviewers do.

  • @xzbyte2002 Lol sorry!

I'm glad you enjoyed the review, just giving my opinion as always. Thanks for watching and commenting :)

  • Good review meg

  • @michaeltiao8 Thanks for watching! :D

  • One of the VERY few channels I subscribed to. I connect to the way you feel games. Almost every single reason why you play games connects with why I love games. Looking forward to watching many more of your reviews. Amazing work!

  • @AyushJuneja I am honored that I am one of the few!

Thank you so much for watching, commenting and supporting my channel :)

  • everybody digs you because you're smart and absolutely gorgeous, i dig you because you're quirky and have a cool accent

  • @henryblazer20 I love that phrase! It's right up there with bodacious and groovy - yeah I'm cool :p

Thanks for watching and commenting Henry! I hope it's all cool and groovy over there in the big Ar.Kansas! :D

  • @Kawaiiprincess01 with me here, it's ALWAYS cool and groovy!

  • i agree. I understand that mainstream games just dont have the third party dudes anymore that treated a game like a very serious art project (Team Silent, for example). Why? Because of the cheap thrill, the 'dead space' (fitting title for the pile of shite) repetitive jump scare. You play it, you trade it in. Horror games lack the methodical, maddening brains of Silent Hill and Siren series. I am shocked, however, that mainstream reviewers can't welcome the classic back either.

  • @Judas130 Agreed. I think last-generation games were special; the developers experimented and took risks. Sure there were some duds here and there but everyone tried (and usually succeeded) to do something different.

I love Dead Space but it is definitely not a survival horror. I think action horror is the future unfortunately.

But hey! If games like AMY keep surfacing every once in a while, I'll be happy :) Thanks for watching!

  • Finally someone that doesn't spit "pure hate" just because you have to turn on the brain to play this game :) ...speaking of turning on the brain, I may haven't cause in the ending credits I noticed that there are some images of the game that I haven't seen during the story. I may have missed it, but I'm pretty sure that I haven't found a Big Bad Spider!!

  • @vleinad12 Don't worry, I saw it too along with many interior shots of what look like a church - Pastor John's? This is why I think that AMY is the first installment of a downloadable series; did you also notice that AMY could have utilized an entire wheel of powers, but she only uses two or three slots in-game? And with that cliffhanger of an ending, I definitely think there is more to come :D

Thanks for watching and commenting mayte!

  • Like your reviews :) Do you plan on making a video with your thoughts on resident evil 6 ?

  • @skullfunk68 I will be including it in my next trailer talk video :)

    Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • Great video and great closing comments. I do'nt have a PS so I can't play it (afaik), but I totally agree with you that so many people let random strangers they don't know dictate what they do or don't do. I've found that I've bought a lot of games that are given great scores by critics and I've come away highly disappointed while games that have been hammered turned out awesome.

Thumbs up for a great review and encouraging people to not let random strangers dictate what they do or don't do.

  • @Firepike Thanks for commenting, I'm glad you agree!

I mean let's face it, every review is an opinion of some kind that will (in one way or another) differ from your own :)

    Thanks for watching mayte!

  • @Kawaiiprincess01 I wholeheartedly agree. Society seems to be very negative and likes taking a very cynical view of things without any kind of objectivity. If people's opinions differ, more often than not, what should be meaningful discussion turns into flaming and crap like that so I like your reviews being objective. For the most part, your subs and viewers that comment do so in a mature fashion and are very positive so great job in fostering a positive community!

  • Will you marry me?

  • @goddotcom I can't, I am already betrothed... to my gaming lol!

    Thanks for watching! xD

  • @Kawaiiprincess01 Oh noes :O

  • Great review Meg! I don't usually rely on reviews but when so many reviewers gave it such abysmal scores, I guess we all worried about wasting money on a game we might hate haha! So it put us off! But now that I think about it, it's only £7, so whatever! I watched tons of gameplay footage the other day & although some things looked like they would bother me, it still kept my interest! Maybe it's the old-school feel like you say! Something about it..so I'll check it out. If I hate it, I tried! xD

  • @SabrinaValenzuela There's always the demo :)

AMY is more of an "arcade" experience so the price is pretty reasonable I think, BUT like I said there is always the demo to fall back on if you're still unsure. Thanks for watching!!

  • @Kawaiiprincess01 Yeah, I was initially going to get the demo but I can't find it anywhere on PSN!? Haha, and I keep reading people saying they played the demo and I'm like HUH? Lol...maybe it's only available in the US...

  • Thanks for making this video as you have just convinced me of re-changing my decision not to buy this. I was soooooo excited for this and when IGN gave it 2.0/10 I was like, 'well fuck that'. But your video has shown me the light, thanks Meg!

  • @PrivateTree Apparently there's a demo, so you could check it out first if you're unsure :)

    Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • I don't really know what think about this game. It has a really bad frame-rate, the faces are like cartoon boxes, the movements are really uncomfortable and clanky, the voice acting was...bad, the story is not incredible, it's actually the same as always, the gameplay style was like Forbidden Siren but in a really...weird and bad way, and the graphics are really bad, you can see tons of weird walls or weird textures around the environments. It is just a bad game, but...for some reason, it's FUN!

  • @JIM90Spain Really? You had all those problems? I didn't get that at all... then again did you download it on XBL or PSN... hmm perhaps that's why the Xbox version got a worse score than the Playstation version :$

  • @Kawaiiprincess01 I had the Xbox version. And I have to say that I had a really big problem with Amy. She sometimes didn't do what I wanted, If I said stay, and the ending...was AWFUL!. I'm sorry but even though it's a really fun game to play, it's that kind of game that you play once and that's enough. It remembered me to Alone in the Dark, another great game but, because of the time and the small resources, it just didn't work. Amy could have been lot more, it's a shame.

  • I think the only problem with the cut scene thing is because its an xbox live arcade title and not a full retail release seems the developers were trying to save money by having the comic book stills. I love survival horror games but have given up after playing resident evil 5

  • @MadDingo800 That could be the reason, I have no idea :)

Even though I prefer motion cutscenes, the stills weren't out of place in my opinion.

Really? Have you revisited any of the oldies but goldies of survival horror? That's what keeps me happy lol xD

    Thanks for watching!

  • @Kawaiiprincess01 If they work I do not really mind what style there in (cutscenes) mmm i go back and play them every now and again but i find myself wanting something new as weirdly I can still remember where things are in the older games hopefully the recently announced Resident Evil 6 will give that something new and different.

  • I love the stealth and the puzzles of this game! :D I's just sooo much fun sneaking around the enimies ^_^ I really enjoyed the graphics! They kinda reminded me of Siren blood curse :P But what I really loved was seeing Lana and Amy's releationship shine through the gameplay! ^_^ I don't understand the 2/10 reviews at all! Personal I think it's a great survival horror game and it represent it in a great way! :D

  • @GamerGirlWithGlasses I completely agree! Survival horror games FTW xD

Thank you for watching and commenting!

  • babe.. i think you should get a HD cam.. and turn the lights on when you make your videos, you a pretty girl n we cant see it!! :)

  • @o0MadHouse0o I'll get one again eventually. For now though y'all will just have to put up with evening videos and meh lighting... but hey! At least you can make me out, it'd be a little disheartening to watch a talking shadow haha!

    Thanks for watching!

  • Great detailed review as always. Definitely makes me want to get the game at some stage.

I really like the survival horror games, only recently just finished Resident Evil 4 (Yeah I am that far behind).

I'll look out for it in the special bins, and put it aside to play later.

I mean it's great to know the games with an engaging story, which will make the gameplay experience enjoyable. Thanks.

  • @electricadventures Thank you very much :D

It's not perfect, but I think the mark of true survival horror fan is to be forgiving, I mean heck the classics were always excruciatingly hard in parts, but we just shrugged it off and continued cause we lurved the game baby XD

Thanks for watching, let me know what you think of the game if you play it!

  • The demo was terrible

  • @LeClassics Ah well, onto the next for you I guess :)

    Thank you for watching!

  • I love survival horror games. There really giving this game a bad rap if you ask me. They need to get there heads out of there butts because this is a GREAT survival horror emphasis on SURVIVAL and HORROR. I found my self barely scraping by like a true survival horror game. F**k you major gaming reviewers, you don't know what your talking about.

  • @MrBER2000 That is true, it definitely falls into the category of classic survival horror style, which will make some gamers VERY happy indeed! (Like me) :D

    Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • u seen the RE6 trailer?? an nice to see another vid kid!

  • @bobbyw223 I have indeed, it looks intriguing to say the least! I guess we'll have to see if it's going to be a AAA edition to the franchise or a dud xD

  • @Kawaiiprincess01 yeah pretty much lol

  • "fast food style gaming" HAHA that was good

  • @bobbyw223 Fast-Food:

"1: of, relating to, or specializing in food that can be prepared and served quickly (a fast–food restaurant)

2: designed for ready availability, use, or consumption and with little consideration given to quality or significance (fast–food TV programming)"

    - seemed appropriate lol :p

Thanks for watching and commenting maytie!

  • Hmm, didn't know about this game. I wonder if Game Informer was/will be as harsh. You'd think that as long as it isn't motion controlled and the buttons adequately correspond with onscreen actions they'd give it at least a 6 or 7....

  • @Air4swan They gave it a 3. EVERY major gaming thing of some sort is giving this game a bad rap. It's actually a really solid Survival horror game. I love survival horror games. Vector's lead developer said "We don't care what they think, we care about what the players think. And they think it's pretty good so we'll leave it at that."

  • @MrBER2000 Good on them!! Let's hope then, that Vector Games continues the story in another installment :D

    Thanks for watching!

  • @MrBER2000 This game has LOTS of problems. It's worth a 6 only to big survival horror fans and even then some of the game mechanics can become really grating in the long run. I can see how people may have an extreme dislike for this game especially nowadays when action horror is becoming the new standard being much easier to sell and make. Making a game like this with such a low budget was a wrong move imo. ICO worked because it was an extremely polished game, AMY, well not so much.

  • @Sagentemus

I love Ico but saying Ico was well polished is a bit of an exaggeration. Ico also happens to suffer from clunky controls.

  • @TurboBabyPuncher I'm not talking about the clunky controls. Those are there because both ICO and AMY are not supposed to be action games. I'm talking about the overall game and especially the handholding mechanic.

  • @Air4swan The way I figure, you'd have to make a game that didn't work at all (un-responsive buttons/controls, constant freezing in levels or any other cause for an inability to play it) would make it "unplayable" or worth a 2/10. I completely agree with the point you are making :)

    Thanks for watching!

  • Does this game have a platinum trophy? You should do playthroughs of games you review. you're awsome.

  • @azulcrema009 There are trophies, but so far as I know there is no platinum :)

A few people have suggested that, though I don't think there is anything a playthrough would achieve that my videos don't already. Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • Good review. I always preferred personal reviews than ones from large companies.

  • @JKwan77 I'm glad you enjoyed the review! :D

    Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • I LOVE the Game:D It's amazing! I don't know what other people are talking about XD Your so funny:D

  • @claireredfield402 I am loving that screen-name! xD

I'm glad you enjoyed the game and thank you for watching!

  • @Kawaiiprincess01 Aww! Thank you!!! :D Your welcome ^-^

  • The details about Lana and Amy hands - about their movements being so natural - that you've talked about remember me of Ico, from the PS2. Have you played it? (sorry for my bad english :p)

  • @HenriqueMsAa I mentioned it briefly in the vid; I love ICO too but the "holding-hand mechanic" is a little jerky and awkward. AMY really worked out the AI-related kinks in many ways I think. Thanks for watching and commenting! :D

  • Great review! I've been wanting to play this.

  • @alunarflowerlulluby Thanks for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed it! :D

If you play the game let me know how it goes!

  • I'm glad you gave this game a chance. I also believe this game was reviewed rather harshly. I personally liked the game despite some flaws. It was good for what it was. I am currently doing a "let's play" of it on my channel in support of the game to show that it's not as bad as people have made it out to be. You gave it a good and fair review.

  • @Vigaku86 Thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed the review!

I just checked out your AMY playthrough and it's great, would it be okay if I link part 1 in my description box?

  • @Kawaiiprincess01 Be my guest. I would like this game to have as much exposure as possible. And I'm glad you enjoyed my walkthrough.

  • @Vigaku86 Awesome-sauce, I'll do that right away! Thanks mayte :)

  • @Kawaiiprincess01 No problem. Thanks for the support!

  • I love this review Meg you always make awesome reviews all of the time! I think I will pick this up and Meg thank you for this! Meg you always make me laugh i'll let you know when I pick this up! Love this video and enjoyed it and take care good night Meg! ^__^

  • @Rayof92 Thanks for the support Rayman!! :D

  • @Kawaiiprincess01 You are welcome Megatron Smith! ;) You know me i'll always support my number 1! :) Have a wonderful day, weekend, and all that good stuff! Take care Meg i'll chat with you later! ^__^

  • It's because of games like Amy, that we should be thankful for PSN and XBLA. Most retail games nowadays are the 'sure thing', and noone takes any chances, and there is not a lot of creativity. But because of PSN/XBLA we have great titles like Braid, Limbo, Joe Danger, Peggle, Shatter, Flower, Half-Minute Hero, Shadow Complex, The Undergarden and so on. This is where the real variety is nowadays, but too many people never give these games a chance. So thumbs up for looking at Amy with open eyes

  • @AssassinDK2 This comment deserves A LOT of likes :)

  • You are a good reviewer, nice to hear more about this game, seems like you gave it a fair shake

  • @myndatlarge Thanks, that's very nice of you!

Just giving my personal thoughts as always lol thank you for watching and commenting :D

  • Wonderful review. Next time I get a PSN card, I'll make sure to download this (as well as turn off the lights, and close the curtains).

  • @jake5 Thanks very much, let me know what you think of it when you get around to playing AMY!

Thanks for watching and commenting :)

  • Y'know, I bought this because I had been looking forward to it for months, and then read that it was "terrible". I was severely disappointed that I had "wasted my money" on such a "terrible" game. Later that night I actually played Amy and enjoyed all of the first chapter 100%. The only complaint I have is that the frame rate seems a little bit choppy sometimes, but it should still be up in the 60-70% bracket imo.

  • @greenyxi I'm glad you enjoyed it too!

Frame-rate issues eh? Did you download it on XBL? I ask only because a few people had major frame-rate issues and I didn't, but I downloaded it from PSN.

Thanks for watching and commenting! :)

  • @Kawaiiprincess01 Nah, I bought it through PSN. I found it most visible just after the game's opening cutscene, where you're looking for Amy. The game doesn't slow down or anything...it just seems to go really choppy for a second or 2.

You're very welcome for the comments. Thank YOU for replying when you've got millions of comments around :)

  • I don't think the game is as bad as critics are making it out to be. I don't think it's something I'm going to be considering as a game of the year but overall I had a fun time with it. I don't mind the lack of checkpoints or little hints here or there. I wish more games had super hard modes that actually challenged the player. Have you heard about the 1999 game mode in Bioshock Infinite?

  • @cbert27 Definitely not the game of the year, but not worth a 2 out of 10. I'm just happy I have another classic survival horror to play! I haven't heard of it but I'm interested! I may have to play that puppy again and have a crack at it :D

    Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • @cbert27 1999 mode? say whaatt

  • Kawaiiprincess01,

Why don't you do video game playthough/gameplay?

I bet you there are hundreds of your subscribers waiting for you to do this.

  • @Persistantthug It never really occurred to me to do so. I'm not sure what I could bring to a playthrough that I couldn't in my reviews and videos :)

  • I was very disappointed when I saw the reviews for this game. I also found it weird how they complained about the graphics, for me they were fine. I was interested in this game again when I heard some reviewers say it played like a last generation game, and I was like :D. I really like how you review games. you review them very well and you also notice all the little things that developers put in that makes their games special. thanks for taking your time to review this game. <3

  • @2shadowgamer2 Agreed! It would play like a last generation game though considering it is a genre that has died in modern gaming - silly silly, outdated doesn't necessarily mean bad. I've never awarded a game that kind of score, even ones I personally hated lol! That's like putting an entire dish down because you personally hate the taste of peanuts :p

Thanks very much, what can I say I love all the little things :) thanks for watching and commenting!

  • I for one was interested in this game and like an idiot I look at scores and that's that.

However everyone is going to be in situations where they feel a game was better or worse than what critics/people say. I've been in that situation plenty of times and starting to realize that my opinion may not be the same as others.

So with that said and this review watched I'm sure I will get this game....eventually, backlog is an ugly word ;)

  • @ap3xdotexe Yup, hype is sometimes worse than a panning haha!

I can't listen to critics or hype period. I just have to see for myself, but backlogging is nothing to be ashamed of xD I've done it many a time with games I felt "meh" about lol!

    Thanks for watching!

  • hey CRGR can i ask a question you do you feel like this game was in a safe somewhere dont get me wrong

still love Resident Evil and Fatal Frame i just feel game such be out long time go

  • @Gamers266 Well it's a classic survival horror, which was prominent in the last generation of gaming. So I guess it would feel outdated in a current-gen-gaming sense, but people (like me) like that ;)

    Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • @Kawaiiprincess01 thank a good point thank and keep on gaming

  • We get a KABOOM for our buck?

  • @Dextear YES! Thank you, KABOOM is just the word I was looking for lol!

    Thanks for watching!

  • Skyrim?

  • @anchorhock Soon :)

  • i was gonna get this game...then i saw outland for 5.49 and said f*** Amy, and checked outlands scores, it got 8 and 9, i played it, it was more a 10, my friend rings me up, says he got Amy, go around his we play...and we put the controller down 30 minutes later...what an abysmal piece of crap that was, he came mine played outland, he loved every minute and regrets buying Amy later that night Resident evil 6, the horror genre isn't dead..thank you Capcom, point is: take a risk and pay for it.

  • @ramerster3000 To each his own I guess :)

Was there anything in particular that you didn't like about it?

Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!

  • @Kawaiiprincess01 well the combat itself felt to clunky and voice acting is always something me and my friend have to comment, bush on if its terrible, which it was. i know the whole game is to protect her, but it would have opened a whole new dimension to the game, if you could play as her, here's hoping for the last of us, you can play as the girl.

  • Crap, POP QUIZ! I gotta take notes.

  • MEG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-

  • @imisrael92 HEYYYYYYY!! Lol! Thanks for watching :)

  • There needs to more survival horror games, there's not enough on the market these days and thats a damn shame! What are your early views on 'last of us' by naughty dog? and im interested.... if you were put into a real life survival horror situation, full zombie action etc etc etc, what game character would you like by your side backing you up? And great review, Many thanks.

  • @EddieXV132 I hear you, but it's "outdated", which is a real shame.

I know little about it, from the first trailer I was intrigued but not excited... we'll have to see eh? That is a GREAT question... and one I'll have to think about before I answer it. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have the leanest and meanest on my side, but it'd have to be a game character that fits that profile... and doesn't irritate me lol! I maye answer this in a future video :)
